As far as I can work out, if you have an iphone updated to 3.0+, video out will not work with this. Audio out fine.

shame if thats true-maybe a future update will correct?

It's certainly true for mine, although I haven't really looked for a way round it - I bought it for audio out really. Not sure if future updates will correct this, I think the 3.0+ updates deliberately sought to prevent it.

I might try the youtube method later, but to be honest what does the iphone have in it's few inch screen that you really want stretched across 42"! I bought it to take away when I have to spend time in hotels, tv's are improving and I play mp3s through their telly, a lot lighter and smaller than speakers, and it's in my laptop bag so I never forget to bring it.

Oooh, gonna pick one up, thanks

you can encode movies for the iphone through videora specifically for tv output

I was able to get the normal and retractable charging cables in Castle Court, Belfast at £1 each. This is a bargain since they are around £15 each in the 'big official' store.

you'd be suprised just how good it looks. i used these cables on my daughter's 1g touch last week and the results were suprisingly good. now its updated to 3.1.2 it no longer works :(

Well I suspect it was to stop apps like the Sky one from being played on your TV, as posted the other day you can get Sky Sports and ESPN for £6 p/m with 3 months free via iPhone, so that would make a huge saving over paying Sky direct for subscription.

I understand picture quality wouldn't be great on a huge screen but ideal for smaller, may be up to 32" screens.
