£40 quidco offsets the phone cost
#2
3G or 3GS?
#3
Prices EXCLUDE VAT, so you have to add £5.86 to monthly cost for non VAT registered buyers, bringing it to £39.37...NOT SO HOT FOR 24 MONTHS

Phone cost is £58.99
#4
seems a VERY good deal for me! its 3gs by the way!

bolt on i'd go for is 100 mins

i'm already paying £35 for less than this from o2 with a 3g!
#5
£1003 (inc VAT) for a smartphone for 2 years? I don't care if it's the JesusPhone, that's too much money.

And unlimited internet from o2 is 3gigs a month.
#6
24month contract when the next iPhone will probably be out in 4months time? Not a clever move :)
#7
not good considering you have to put vat on all this

its a hot deal, find me a 16gb 3gs, with unlimited texts and 600mins for cheaper. nah didnt think so

The simple fact is that users on this site, look to give abuse before thinking.. If you went to buy an Iphone, this is a MEGA HOT DEAL. Its the cheapest for a 16GB 3GS and the tariff is very good for the price, yes that includes VAT but so does every other tariff you get on 02 or on Orange, so think before you post and have a look around.
Just because YOU dont want it doesnt mean someone else doesnt.

Vodafone have a 16GB 3gs with unlimited texts, 600 mins on a 24 month contract for £35 per month (inc VAT) - phone costs £89 - but total cost is £929 (rather than £1003).

Vodafone quidco is also £40 for the iphone on this contract.

Its not unlimited internet but does come with 1GB per month which should be more than enough for most people.

You get no minutes more, both are 600 (Edited bolt on of 100 mins now noted). But the OP only asked us to find an iphone 3gs with 600mins and unlimited texts for cheaper - which I did ;-)

1GB internet should be enough for most people - I am a heavy iphone user (I use it for work with 3 email accounts and do a fair bit of surfing as well) and I use about 100meg of data each month.

So the only thing better is the calls to 10 landlines and o2 numbers - which depending on who/what you call could be worth the £74 :)

People arent saying it includes VAT for this price, they are saying it doesnt, when including VAT is mentioned, the person is saying even with VAT added this is the cheapest available deal (almost :))

No problem I missed the bolt on bit as well.

I actually voted hot for this regardless of the other offer I found, but sometimes the opening post being wrong (which it is without VAT included), along with a bit of attitude from the OP will result in cold votes regardless of a good deal or not.

Disagree. Poster is only saying he wouldn't buy it as its a waste of money in his opinion - he's allowed to do that as far as I know. Don't get *****ly if someone doesn't like your deal - its not the end of the world! :p

It isnt because of my deal, its just every deal in general. Its getting more frequent on here, i refrain from posting some deals because its just not worth the hassle.

If you didnt want a smartphone and its a waste of money in his opinion then why post? Its just like they want to start an arguement.

Yes i should have mentioned the +VAT but i guessed people would have known. And the attitude.. Well people wind me up on here.

Anyways, a hot deal is now cold.

good deal for first timers, just a quick heads up for people due to upgrade on £45 iphone contracts(1200 mins, 500 text, unlimeted internet 18 month) when ringing to upgrade through O2, say you are thinking of leaving go down the pak code route, i did this couple of weeks ago, for both myself and hubby, got £9pm customer loyalty discount and unlimited O2 to O2 bolt on added gratis, took the reconditioned 3gs handsets which apart from being reboxed appear to be brand new, and have full warranty, and including VAT works out at £36pm, with no charge for handset, hopefully will help someone

Check here for O2 UK Business Tariffs. The OP deal is the new 2010 O2 24M Business Single 600 tariff that started on 29/01/2010. All O2 Business plans are exc VAT. The new plans will extend the handset warranty upto 24M than the previous 12M warranty term.

Forget to mention that the unlimited text allowance has now changed & can only be used in UK only & can not be used for roaming like the older O2 Business tariffs prior to 29/01/2010 where for every SMS & MMS (per message) will used 4 units from monthly allowance. You must have direct debit mandate setup or you will be charged £2.50 exc VAT per month. Itemised paper bill invoices can be requested but will cost £1.00 exc VAT per month but you will have access to online billing free of change anyway.

This tariff is mainly aimed at business users who need that extra allowance to support their business needs, yes for business purposes mainly hence you pay more for extra support. O2 UK is fully aware that Orange UK & Vodafone UK also offer iPhone 3gs handsets for Consumer plans but you really should ask yourselves what is Orange UK & Vodafone UK are offering for their own business customers if the iPhone handset is available to them.

Some people really confused themselves between Consumer plans & Business plans & their service agreement T&C's. Can't understand why the cold voters. You pay peanuts then expect monkey service. The deal is only as good for people that fits their needs but does everyone expect a top quality Apple product to a cheap device. The iPhone handsets was originally sold via O2 UK network under Consumer plans when O2 UK was the first in UK to have the licence but this was later introduced to O2 UK business & corporate customers due to high demand. So this plan is ideal for business users or for people who yap too much on the mobile phone who should get on some business work done. Time is money. Talk is cheap.

Aside from the iphone, does this change apply to other non-iphone business contract specifically Blackberry?

Terrible deal. You can buy an almost new (unmarked a few months old at most) for about £350 then a SIM for MAX £15 a month.

Maybe he wanted a smartphone, and thought £1003 was a tad steep?
