I ment used as an alarm that works all year round: Daylight savings time error? New Year error? This is buckets of utter fail from the worlds smuggest computer company. Datetime calculations are critical in computing. As XKCD illustrates with it's usual geeky wit.

Apple seem either incapable or unwilling to do basic testing of fundamentals of their product before asking people to spend a fortune on them.

First fail

New Year fail

Slashdot discussion of most recent fail.

Reception issues: Just don't hold it that way.

It's the second time within a few short months that they've had a problem with date time changes.

They didn't even test the latest iPhone properly, when a reception bug was reported from users they said "just don't hold it that way".

Also, don't forget to stick in on charge overnight, if you set the alarm and don't. It is likely the battery will lose its charge overnight, and you will oversleep...

Umm, with their track record of exploding batteries, is this wise? The fire brigade advise against this too.

Mesage to all those of you who are considering an iphone - DON'T - at least not until you have looked at an Android such as HTC, they are far superior to any Apple product in many ways, & much faster.

Trust me, go & see for yourself

Imo, HTC's are fugly... Really horrible phones. I hate to admit it, but iPhones are quite cool considering my 3G has given me many headaches

Yeah, Damn those HTC devils and Google for writing Android, how dare people sell a product that works as advertised!

Magpie syndrome.
