Not sure how true this is but it'd be a shame because they pay 5% on Audio & TV.

For those with Boots cards, a slightly better deal (especially on the more expensive iPods, i.e. Classics and Touches) may be to use the 10% off code along with Boots card points and Quidco (permitted with vouchers at Boots.com). Then you'll get something like:

iPod Classic 80Gb = £159.00
Minus 10% = £143.10
+ 636 points (given as a proportion of the original price, for some reason)
+ Quidco @ 3.5% (of the discounted price) = £5.01
Free postage
Giving a nominal price of £131.73 allowing for points and Quidco.

I did this when the triple points offer was still on, giving a nominal price of around £120 - only just got it in time before the offer expired, so didn't post the deal. Even with normal points (four in the £), it still seems to be the best deal. Since the discounts are proportionate rather than for fixed amounts, the relative benefit of going this way will be greater on the more expensive iPods. If they restart triple points, it'll be better still. Stock is intermittent at Boots - currently Classics are out of stock, but that changes frequently.

For me, Quidco tracked and the iPod was delivered 10 minutes ago!

I'd say they're pretty much identical deals at the end of the day. I bought one from JL a while ago using the £10 off voucher, but the quidco tracked, and now validated on the RRP price of £159, earning £7.95 cashback.

Either or it's still a cheaper deal than i got grrr lol.

Its actually alot better to have instant discount than Boots points. As some don't shop at Boots or want to buy extras we don't need. Beside you can't use Boots points online. Boots points just get you to buy more stuff. So end of the day you have the extra money in hand. Otherwise you have boots points that it have to be enough point to pay for item in FULL, which you can't use it to part pay.

Fair point - it certainly depends whether you tend to use Boots shops or not. That said, for the iPods that cost more than the 80Gb Classic, the relative advantage of the Boots deal increases, assuming of course you collect points and use Boots stores. If triple points comes back (how regularly do they do that deal?) it'll definitely be worth going for.

id find a boots that sells ipods and go get one on these xmas shopping nights as you would get around £40 of advantage points on a £159 80gb classic and im sure most of us could spend £40 of boots points on xmas presents no problem

Can you use the 25% staff discount and a £20 code?

Staff discount is only 12% on electicals. The code should work fine though in conjunction.

Ta, I ordered a 16gb Touch today via QuidCo and it has tracked already at £13ish. So if JohnLewis don't decline the cashback that's £33 off in total.

Cheers to the OP
