Also 8Gb nano £72 (or if your company has an affiliate deal then you pay only £59).

Hot me thinks!!!

I reckon some of the stock will be brand new and not refurb too.
Since they brought out the new classic, they've had to take all their stock off their shelves and off the website.
So they've just put the surplus new stock on the refurb section of the site.
I'd say that's hot.

How "refurbished" are refurbished products in terms of their condition etc as i'm very interested in this!
#4
I'll let you know in 3-7 days :)

voted hot from me - thanks.

I've had an ipod break on me, I sent it away and they sent me a refurb and I couldn't tell that it wasn't brand new.
I've never brought anything from the refurb section but from my experience, refurbs are in pretty good condition

great deal

Just to back up that Refurb condition.

I have bought and know people who have bought several items from Apples Refurb store and they have all been immacculate, the only thing is they sometimes come in a plain box instead of a branded store front box.

Usually the refurbs are items that fail on software testing first time round, get fixed and then are put back into the system.

I got a reburb ibook from there a few years back, Perfect condition, as Celticsun says, it arrived in a plain brown box rather than the branded one if you buy new.

Not a mark on it.

Apple do like to push there old stock to the side as well, so I think Magic_Monkey is on the money saying some may well be brand new untouched.

Yeah ive heard from endless people that Apple 'refurbs' are immaculate. As new, but with the plain white box.
#11
ive had a nano refurb before, looked brand new to me, not a mark on it.

Hmmmm I need an ipod and I cant see one coming cheaper than this!

This site is costing me a fortune (at the same time as saving me a fortune!)

Dont forget 6% quidco!
#13
Bought a refurb iPod ages ago, as like everyone else it was prefect, not one mark on the back or front, was just like it was brand new but in a brown box.
#14
I have bought 2 iPods from the refurb store and they were like new apart from in brown boxes rather than the store boxes.
#15
By contrast, those that send their immaculate (but broken) iPods back for repair invariably get a shoddy replacement.

Coming Up As £159 For Me
Is This The 3g Video Version?

Can someone give me detail how to get to this refurb page. the link via this site and via quidco give me 'internet explorer cannot display the page'. I've been trying to fix it for days and can't make it go away.
#19

The refurb section was messy on mine with a lot of images not displaying. I'm guessing the site is seeing high demand. Try going in from the main apple page, there is a link on there. Once you've go the iPod in your cart it goes back to normal.

They also have 8gb nanos for £72 which seems a good deal

Thank you sinjin. Got one ordered for daughter's christmas present. I'll have to sort out my browsing problem though, cos I've lost about a tenner this week with not being able to access pages via quidco.

my £5.87 qudico has already tracked. The 1 year warrenty swung it for me - I've brought refurb stuff before from other manufacturers and it doesn't very often seem to come with a full year warrenty.

I don't actually have much faith in Ipods after my last one met an early demise (just out of warrenty) but this will do me until it breaks then memory sticks should be cheap enough and big enough to make the sandisk fuze or sandisk view a more valid option.

worto.

Seems to have gone now. Only 160gb version left.
#25
all gone, just the 160gb ones now at £179

#27
Yep all the 80gb's are gone now - well done if you got one! If you missed out try checking back next Thursday, this is usually when apple restock their refurbished units for resale.

Thanks to the op for this deal :)

#33

For future reference what was the condition like then?

Ipod came in a white box with Ipod printed on it, the ipod was shrink wrapped inside on some white cardboard and when taken out was indistinguishable from a new unit, not a mark or fingerprint anywhere on it. Came with a quickstart guide, earphones, small plastic dock and usb lead.
I bought this for someone else who asked me to get him a cheap ipod with lots of storage, he initially didnt want a refurb but I went ahead and got it anyway and he was over the moon with it - he even said "this is brand new" :)

I just had an email saying it was deliverd successfully in the 18th but it hasn't been!

When I checked the tracking yesterday it wasn't due until the 22nd & the tracking system is down at the moment for an upgrade, anyone else had any emails from them - just wondering if the upgrade has caused stupid emails to be sent our or if something sinister is afoot.......

I had a tracking email from them the evening the Ipod was posted out and it was delivered the following afternoon.

Just as the poster above mine came packaged as a new ipod would. Nothing whatsoever to suggest its a refurb unit other than the price

Only thing is my quidco didnt track so it looks like I'll be rasing my first tracking query :-(

mines here too now - despite a bit of a delivery mix up & I can also confirm exactly the same as above - looks brand spanking new with apple seal as on a new one & the box although a plain white box instead of the shop one also have an apple seal running down the side - inside the box allsealed & shrink wrapped nicely and not a mark on it - apart from now as it has my brubby finger prints on it already :)

anyone know anyu decent cases for the classic my Brother in Law has a nice leather one so might ask him where he got that if not.
