Hi Edi, Nice find IMHO. Not heard of savapoint.com before reading this particular post. Are they a part of another company?. Are they on Quidco at all? (not checked). The 2Gb Sumvision YUMI Pro MP4 Player @ £54.99 seems a good buy.

Savapoint's customer service isnt up to the mark. Looking into similar items in ebay, £2.99 is a good price for a sock :)

I have ordered some pc software from savapoint in the past for my children, and although they are slow, the software has always arrived eventually. Last time was some lego creator software, ordered at the beginning of July arrived second week in August.
Good for a bargain if you are not in a hurry

Hi, Almost 1-month after placing an order (nothing has arrived from them although credit card was debited immediately) with Savapoint and all e-mails sent to them have gone un-answered other than what seems to be an automated response that they repeatedly send.

Would not recommend this company due to the fact that their customer service seems to be awful. Hiding behind an 0870 number is not acceptable.

Would just like to add my support to the views of MacNewbieInTraining as I am having a similar experience with this company. The cost of the item does not make repeated calls to an 0870 number much of a viable option.

Hi Sandystar, Thank you for your support to the views that i'd posted on dealings with Savapoint.com. I'm not at all impressed with their distinct lack of customer service. They do not reply to e-mails personally at all and are seemingly unwilling to assist customers with post-order enquiries unless customers are willing to contribute towards a further profit-making 0870 number. Cannot understand why companies such as this post e-mail addresses on their web-site for customers to get in contact with them if they've no intention whatsoever to reply (automated responses containing 0870 numbers excluded).

Found some geographical numbers for Savapoint.com aka Softpoint Multimedia Ltd (this is the company name that appears on credit card statements) from saynoto0870.com (excellent web-site IMHO):

Thanks for the geographical numbers MacNewbieInTraining - I rang one of them via Skype (I am currently taking advantage of their 6 month free calls) and received the same story as previously that they are awaiting a fresh delivery at the end of this week early next week. I was given the impression that they had had some small deliveries but not enough to meet demand. I shall probably 'sit it out' for a bit longer but I shan't 'hold my breath'!

Hi Sandystar, Glad that the geographical numbers were of some help. Like you I shan't 'hold my breath'! sitting it out waiting for stock to arrive either. If they did not/do not have stock they should not have debited for our orders.
Won't be recommending this company. Argos stock iPod socks in a pack of 6 for £19.00 wish i'd have opted for those instead. More than i'd wanted admittedly but you get given them there and then in-store.

Order never did arrive from Savapoint. E-mails went un-answered. Promptly debited credit card for orders but did not ship. Would not recommend this company.

Sock finally arrived this morning (original order date 19.10.06). Make sure you are not in a hurry if you deal with this company.
