How about one for a fiver including postage? This one has 200 channels and there are others on the site too.

Over on MSE there was a big buy on this model a few months back. Many reported it was good.

They aren't the fastest shippers as it ships out of HK.

Hello, all..

The Play one looks very similar to one I had from EBay a little while back. I found it was pretty poor - it picked up interference from the power cable. It also had a pretty poor signal quality - lots of "lisp".

I picked up a Belkin TuneCastII (I think?) for about £12 while I was in Florida.. Erm, not that that's much help :)

Of course - it's not to say that the Play one is the same as the one I initially had... You pays yer money..

Toodle-pip!

Hello all. I just wanted to post some immediate thoughts on this item.
#1: A lot of MP3 players have built in dictaphones - so this immediately turns them into surveillance devices - you could be listening to the mp3 player from a nearby radio (wouldnt this be great for an office meeting, for example?).
#2: If you know someone is listening to a radio, you could go nearby and hijack the signal by selecting the right frequency. E.g. if there is a radio on in the workplace, go to a nearby toilet cubicle and use the mp3 player dictaphone (and gadget) to hijack the frequency with your own news report e.g. "and (company name) has just been voted worse company of the year, with ineffective management, boring company culture, and lazy employees!"

I.e. - I'm getting one!

LMAO :giggle:

Best of both worlds... innit?
#35
Mine turned up yesterday.

Gave it a quick try in the car and the results were very disappointing. I tried various frequencies but could not get a could clean, distortion free signal.

Anyone else not happy with this item ?
#36
I was disappointed with mine (different brand) but the freqs are so crowded down here it was difficult to get anything. Anyway I've ordered a Griffin iTrip for my Nano and hoping for better results.
banned#37
You will get better results from a cassette adapater than any FM transmitter

That's might be true but only if car radio got tape player. I bought mine for foreign trips where I am hiring car. As majority of rental cars only got CD players, there is no way to connect cassette adaptor to it.
