Hot if true?

These are great little devices and good price. Argos was doing the green only at £49 which was a good deal.
#3
Don't think they have many in stock as you can only order 1
#4
Not a bad price, although I was one of the people that had the better deal of £49 at Argos a short time ago.
#5
Been looking at getting a 16gb one for the last few days. Nearly got one from Amazon for £116.00.
Thanks OP Heat added :D:D:D

You can only order 1 of any of these, including the ones still at full price!
#7
Fantastic deal, just ordered a 16gb for sons birthday, heat added
#8
thanks, been looking for one of these since I missed the argos deal

Orderered 16gb one for the missus
#9
Hot hot hot!
#10
Ordered 16gb one as my husband pinched mine for work...bargain! Thanks...
#11
Cheers. Missus' old model was 'lost' somewhere. This will do as a replacment and give me some peace and quiet.
#12
very good price indeed
#13
Buying the 16gb is a no brainer at only £6 more for double the capacity. Shame that this doesn't follow suite with its bigger brothers, the iPod touch etc..
#14
Thanks!! Been looking for one for ages!
Shame the blue one is not discounted =(
#15
goes into basket but I can't check out :( - I hope they have one left tonight when I log on again ....

It's probably the realistic price difference between them... the one thing I think apple are really tight on. Does anyone really believe it costs £100 for a 3g dongle and £50+ for a small amount of memory..
#17
Would this be the 2nd gen ipod nano with the built in nike+?
#18
you can get one for £35 pounds aprox if you have few weeks to spare.

get a second hand 1st gen, from cex or any other place (hopefully verify the serial number).

send it to apple for the replacement program... then wait 5-6weeks

you will get a new silver nano :)

#29
Great deal OP!!

Got this on the argos deal at £49 the other week, can confirm it has the nike+ built in from scratch, the pedometer, various clocks built in allowing you to mount it on a wrist strap etc
#31
Good post.16gb is a good deal. Stock running out fast. Suggest you call ASDA direct to secure the order as the web-site failed to accept my order, but the guy on the phone was able to help out. Could not get the Green model as it is now out of stock, but the orange is still for sale at £75 (@9:25am).

This will be either the 6th or 7th gen iPod nano..

The 6th and 7th are identical from a user perspective (once the 6th has been plugged in and updated - the nike+ etc was a firmware update).

I believe the casings etc are identical, and, short of taking it to bits, it's impossible to tell if it's a 6 or 7.

The internal changes were most probably cost cutting for Apple.

£75 for a 16 is amazing, i'd be all over that if I didn't get an 8 from Argos for 49!

According to wiki there is actually no 7th gen - I think the announcement from Apple was just about the updated firmware, the physical device never changed and so remains the 6th gen as far as I can see... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPod_Nano

Edit: Apple also makes no mention of a 7th gen nano on their support pages, it only goes up to 6th gen :)

The 16GB one is certainly looking OK value.
At 8GB one must consider that better sounding upgradeable Clip+ offer at £20 (36GB for £40 or less).

Or you can just buy a Sansa Clip+ with a 32Gb micro SD card for cheaper with a better sound quality. And you don't need itunes.^^

Edit: LadyEleanor, same idea, same time.

Just use a cover with the colour of your choice on and you'll barely see the orange :)

Apple's iPod range is refreshed annually in September. Even your link suggests it's mid-cycle with it being 5 months away :)

Got a 16GB orange delivered into store, thanks.

My est delivery to store is 8 April - anyone have prior experience to suggest it might be sooner?
