This will be either the 6th or 7th gen iPod nano..
The 6th and 7th are identical from a user perspective (once the 6th has been plugged in and updated - the nike+ etc was a firmware update).
I believe the casings etc are identical, and, short of taking it to bits, it's impossible to tell if it's a 6 or 7.
The internal changes were most probably cost cutting for Apple.
£75 for a 16 is amazing, i'd be all over that if I didn't get an 8 from Argos for 49!

According to wiki there is actually no 7th gen - I think the announcement from Apple was just about the updated firmware, the physical device never changed and so remains the 6th gen as far as I can see... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPod_Nano
Edit: Apple also makes no mention of a 7th gen nano on their support pages, it only goes up to 6th gen :)

At 8GB one must consider that better sounding upgradeable Clip+ offer at £20 (36GB for £40 or less).
Edit: LadyEleanor, same idea, same time.

Just use a cover with the colour of your choice on and you'll barely see the orange :)

Apple's iPod range is refreshed annually in September. Even your link suggests it's mid-cycle with it being 5 months away :)
