iPod Shuffle 512mb (First Generation) - £24.50

Once again the introduction of a new iPod means the old ones have to go somewhere.

Argos has decided the best solution is to slash the price in half!

512mb capacity which is not a huge capacity but great for a first MP3 player/stocking filler! (Your kids will love it just because the word iPod is featured on it :)).

Not showing as half price yet on the website but beat the eBay sellers by reserving now for collection tomorrow when the new price should apply!

Hi john :) I've added a pic to your OP. Thanks for posting!

Thanks for this, as you say it's the iPod name that makes it a more of a "wanted" buy :)

Don't want to sound pedantic but it's actually 24.50!

Actually dosen't help me because I was going to buy 2 and put 20p on top to get a £5 voucher

Least the price is valid now :)

Hehe :) That's quite funny :giggle:

Forgive me, are these any good? Before you laugh, i know they sold millions but i'd like an MP3 player for my ma, and i know this may be just what she wants, a good, easy to use, but most of all, reliable MP3 player.

I have read with horror the other MP3 stories, with the lesser priced ones and don't want to let my ma suffer like that, so is this worth picking up?

Are they easy to use, stable and reliable?

I know this might look like a series of silly questions, but don't ask, don't get :)

For the same price, i know i can get a 2Gb unit, but as they say, sometimes size is not everything :giggle:

I have one of these ( thought it was a good price at £56! ) we like it very much - my 8 year old used it, only thing is youcant see what you are playing, but provided you like everything on your playlist it is great!
Small & nice looking, great quality, nicely packaged & an option to shuffle play or just straight forward!
Think they may go quickly - advretised in the middle of I'm a Celebrity last night!

These are great and IMO better than the new shuffle because you dont need the docking station.

I had a shuffle and used it regulary in the gym until i forgot i had it in my pocket and went swimming (so small and light). My mum loves hers, as does my girlfriend.

You can charge it from any USB as well as use it as a memory stick.

Got mine reserved for pick up :-D  :prop:

Anyone know what the cheapest thing is in Argos, i want to pick up 2, but i need to spend another £1 to get the £5 voucher.

So far i can only see the a pack of batteries for £2.79, the 9V type could come in handy when if i spend the £5 voucher on a remote control car.

You can buy a £1 gift voucher. I did this last time when I had to hit £100 to get a tenner back.

Anyone else trying to buy one for home delivery? Now says out of stock

when i bought something at £99.99 the last time the girl at the till said there was a charity code she could put through for 20p to take it over the hundred. That way I got my voucher and the charity got a wee something too.

I came out with 2 that I reserved the previous night (Good job too, they are flying out!), bought a £50 gift voucher which gave me a £5 voucher free then paid for the 2 iPod shuffles and a pack of £1.99 lightbulbs!

Don't think the cashier understood my aim as she kept asking do I want the £50 in 2 £25, do I want it as a Xmas gift for someone etc! :-D

Still delivery option available here fordy :)

Said in stock, completed order, then said out of stock!!!!

No near home delivery, people buying loads to sell on makes me grrrrr
#19
Yeah, I get that. It's like the Xbox 360's last year, said in stock, but after you entered card details it tells you out of stock. Grrr

There are some left in some of the stores near where i live, if anyone really wants one bad, let me know, and i'll see if i can help. PS, this is not a charity mind, i'll need the money and postage costs, but if someone does want one that bad, i'll try :)

Er, why don't you just say where they are and if someone wants one they can order it if they're near there.
#22
No that's fine, Oldham and Bury stores, sorry, was assuming folks couldn't get there
If i have checked and have found stock, and folks can't i am guessing there not near these stores that's all
#23
Just reserved mine I assume it will be in store waiting for me bit worried now...:geek:

Welcome to HotUKDeals topdealman and Thanks for the post :)

I think it'll still be there for you if it's reserved.

I tried getting an XBox with the games delivered last week. Order went through with other stuff too, but once I had paid, the following page said games out of stock. So I had to phone and cancel the order. Reserved for in-store collection the next day and both available. They have a strange and annoying delivery ordering system set up...

I picked one up this morning and am really pleased, it's a proper bargain. One whinge though - Argos had stuck stock labels all over it with really hi-tac glue, which I am going to have to spend hours peeling off using acetone or suchlike. Otherwise I'll be telling my youngest, o yeah, Santa alwas sticks labels on his presents saying AUDIO PLAYBACK UNIT 322/4335. D'oh!

He'll still be thrilled though, daggy box or not. Thanks and cheers to the OP.
#26
I thought getting my sticker off would be a pain, but it actually came of pretty clean.
#27
Tried to get the sticker off mine, but no chance... decided to leave it on... Santa obviously shops at Argos!!!! :)
#28
Picked mine up today. The joker at the till in Argos thought it was funny to tell me there were none left even though I reserved mine. Very happy top deal. Thanks OP good work fella..
#29
Got one yesterday and another on order to collect today! Will be two nice stocking fillers for a couple of the kids. Cheers!
#30

#31
