No, sorry. I searched for an ipod touch at 7.30 am this morning, found the offer, reserved it, collected it today and have been uploading music, videos, photos and apps ever since. Still got about 22gb free and £50 savings in hand :-D

I did say you might be lucky to find stock, well done if you do!
they have some at bluewater and lakeside if anyone is interested
Waiting for 32GB to go sub £200.

Is it really worth waiting for a 12% saving? I was thinking of waiting until the summer to buy one but its capabilities are really impressive. I appreciate that eveyone has a budget but if you can afford it, I would really recommend taking the plunge.

Now, what to do with my 80gb Classic....:?
also in stock in Chelmsford
Well yes when I already have two iPods so can't justify another, I set a mental price barrier in my head for things I want to buy and pretty much never break it. I recon I'll wait though this is the old one and I could do with more than 32GB really.

That's a fair comment, although as you'll see I now have an 80gb Classic that is sort of a spare...

The wifi is very impressive, youtube on tap, web browser works well, loads of free or cheap games and apps, no more click-wheel....go on, you know you want to :p
Off to uni in september though and most don't allow you t ohave a wifi network, so that put me off, also they'll only really get cheaper and I'm off to the US in April. Stop trying to make me buy things. :p

You should stop looking at ipod touch threads , I think you just need a little more convincing ;-)

....how much are they in the States? Pound to Dollar rate is still fairly good but still might not close the gap between RRP and this offer.

Anyway, seriously I think £280 is well overpriced for 32gb of anything, but sub £230 changed my mind. Enjoy now, you don't know what's round the corner....
is this 2nd gen ??
is this 2nd gen ??

It looks more like the 1st generation to me
It looks more like the 1st generation to me

its not that cheap then is it ..... argos were doing 1st gen 16gb for £145........
The picture is of the Touch 1g, which makes this deal colder.

2g Jailbreak coming soon, wooo.
Some of the comments on the curry site mention a built in speaker and some show the opposite.

can anyone confirm that it is 2g?
This is a good deal but this is a first gen model (22 hrs battery life) just to let people know . Akthough you may be lucky and get a 2nd gen.
great find
defo first gen as they has another 32gb ipod for £282 which look liek the 2g
Apple 32Gb iPod Touch
Product code: 872575
Its definately 1st gen, check the two. The Ipod touch at £229 has 22 hours batt life compared to the Ipod Touch at £289 which has 36 hours batt life.

Would rather have 2nd Gen which has a speaker!! Proud owner of one

Plus go direct to apple for free engraving and 4 or 6% quidco, cant remember which of the two it is!

But if 4% brings price to £275ish:whistling:
none in stock near me but good price
Direct Link >>HERE<<
none in Somerset.. rubbish
can this be jail broken?
can this be jail broken?

If 1st Gen, Yes
Have reserved but not sure if I want it yet.

Apart from speaker & battery life...can anyone tell me what are the benefits of 2nd gen over the 1st gen are.

applications including conversion to iphone (using Skype I believe) ?
Good spot, but out of stock in my area.
I reserved and went to collect one. It was 1st gen (sealed in black box) so didn't buy. If spending £229 think I'd rather go the extra mile and spend another £30 or £40 for the newest version.
is this 2nd gen ??
This is the old 1st gen - I wouldn't bother - 2nd Gen much better..... wait for the price war as Nokia is about to launch their equivalent
can't find it anywhere near me! I hate these. I still remember that memory at pc world that was never in stock anywhere. Same thing all over again here.
I have an old 40g ipod that I bought yrs ago - still in use as I use when working- I also have a nokia n96 16gb -which is great for iplayer, web and music although not as good sound quality as the ipod -
For those of you who have an Itouch do you think it would be worth it to me?
