Good price.
I had a little fiddle around with one in the o2 shop as well as the iPhone.
Sadly the touch just feels like a poor man's iPhone, well in theory, I suppose it is.

or you could just get over the woes of years ago, accept that ebuyer ship 6000 orders every day, with the vast vast vast majoirty of those customers being perfectly happy with them.

and without the hassle of applying codes etc.

these ebuyer bashers are really really boring now.

i see why you might think that, but i disagree. I've spent way too long faffing about with both in the apple store, and I think the touch is a lot more desirable in many ways

(i have neither btw)

John Lewis leaves something to be desired in Customer Services at times too, the first few here seem to have had serious problems:

http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews56366.html

Personally I've ordered 3 things from John Lewis in the past year, my last one was a camcorder that wasn't even carded by the courier and was almost sent back except that I'd called John Lewis and they told me that the courier had tried to deliver. Then I had to drive 5 miles to the courier's depot to pick it up.

The other two things I ordered, one arrived fine with no problem and the other was for a wedding list. Half of the list didn't arrive until almost a month AFTER their wedding gifts were supposed to arrive. Plus that itself took 8 phonecalls to actually get the deliveries finally sorted out. They're far from perfect.

I've used Ebuyer very regularly over the last 5 years or so and I've had them let me down a couple of times. The problems were eventually sorted out and I was given free deliveries as compensation for my troubles.

Nobody's perfect.

Totally agree, been a long time ebuyer customer and I've spent thousands with them and never had a single problem.

I buy from ebuyer and John Lewis regularly. Ebuyer have often failed to deliver my orders within the specified delivery times where as John Lewis always have and recently for me delivered the next working day. If I had a problem with a purchase I know who I'd rather be dealing with based on the feedback I've viewed.

I don't see how copy and pasting a JL code at checkout can be a hassle and HUKD members should have options to equivalent deals without implications of 'woes of years ago' & 'ebuyer bashers'. I'm no more of an ebuyer basher than you are an ebuyer employee. The link I posted showed positive ebuyer feedback as well as negative and I did use the word 'risk' when referring to ebuyer.

Every company can have problems and sometimes outside of their control. At the end of the day it's personal choice where HUKD members buy from.

I have spent a lot at ebuyer and everytime the items have arrived on or before the estimated delivery date. John Lewis as well. From all the places I shop actually, I place ebuyer top for delivery. They have a good Saturday delivery charge and when paying for express it always comes next day. Some other places can't do this.

I've never had anything but good experiences with ebuyer.
Delivering earlier than expected on the Super Saver happens a lot too :)

You get quidco with John Lewis and fast delivery. Every little helps.

Does anyone know about these guys? the-icompany.co.uk. They are advertising in Metro newspaper with ipod touch 8gb at 149.99 and 16gb at 199.99. You cant buy online due to "technical issues" and links to "About us" and "Contact us" end in a 404 error.

Anyone heard of them/had experience with them?

With all the errors you've just described I'd steer clear from them. If you're looking for a Touch, there are a few for sale in the buy/ sell section.

I bought a 16gb from user Maverick the other day. Excellent seller and loving the Touch!
