If you go to the Quidco website, there is also a code to receive £12.70 off the 8GB too. The code is APP102. Delivery is also free if you are not in a hurry, e.g. not tomorrow or the following day. Have ordered 2 8GB Ipod touch for Christmas presents each coming in for under £150 if Quidco is tracked. Lovely thank you.

will be £191.21, as the cashback is paid on the price excluding vat - but seems like the best deal so far will wait til tomorrow see what else comes out - as i had ordered from Tesco to get £30 worth of clubcard points - but that doesnt appear to be as good as this deal. hot

How do you get the cash back
#4
Yeah - I also just noticed this deal. Gutted - just bought one from Argos today for £224 (+ a £10 voucher). Was told it's excluded from their 30 Day Money Back Guarantee. I haven't even opened it yet though – wonder if I've got a chance of returning it?

Please don't include cashback in your quoted deal price - it should be the price you need to pay to purchase the item, amended now, thanks

He should be allowed to deduct the £14.80 discount using the code from the listed price though as £219.99 is the price you actually pay.

just ordered the 8gb for sons xmas pressie. £166 ish before quidco is really good price anyway as apple store have this on offer at £174 so happy happy and will be even more happy when I get cashback.

Hmmm, ordered this last week from bestbuy when it had the 15% quidco. Had it set for delivery next Friday. But, with the code, this works out cheaper. Plus, I can still order it for delivery next Friday for free... So, am considering cancelling that order, and reordering. Although, since these seem to be getting cheaper and cheaper as the weeks go by, makes me wonder whether to hold out a little longer! lol

What are these like? Never used an apple product before. I have a Sony NWZX1060B X Series 32GB, I heard that has better sounding music but the ipod offers more things like games and decent web browsing and a camera, also you can by speaker docking stations for it, theres only 1 available for the sony.

You'll probably be able to. If not, kick up a fuss and you almost certainly will be able to.

Thanks. Yeah, think it's worth a try.

I've just ordered the 8gb one should come out at £144 with quidco, Just wondering, is the 32 gb worth the extra £47? I don't have much music, but like games & internet & will use the video camera. Can the videos be loaded onto a PC to clear the memory?.

Just a warning about the ipod touch, for many it is like a "gateway" leading to Apple addiction.

If you get one of these, soon you will wish you had the brilliant web browser on it at all times, and end up getting an iphone mainly for its 3g capabilities... heavy Apple addicts will even shows signs of "Ipad"...

The ipod touch is a great thing, but be careful...

Heat added

To the above poster, I would cetainly spend the extra for the 32gb, I dont think you will regret it. You can load vids to PC, but I think most people would need more than 8gb. Some games/apps can be quite "big" (something like Fifa would be about 500mb I guess)

Having the larger memory means you can happily download loads of stuff directly to the ipod touch, via wifi, with no worries (ie podcasts, audiobooks, films, apps, etc)

(16gb minimum I would say for light users, 32GB is very nice though.

Been holding on for a while now but decided to commit with this deal.

Never used Quidco before but signed up and followed the instructions. Should i get a notification of the transaction on the Quidco site straight away or does it take a while to appear?
#16
great deal Thanks
#17
quidco should track after a day - you need to remember there is a £5 per year charge for quidco - but the 15% off this makes it a good deal - the price on this post should be £219.19 though. Remember the quidco 15% off the vat free price - not guaranteed though.
#18
Ta for this - My son can now have the 32Gb instead of the 8Gb for his Xmas present.

Cheapest price even if Quidco does not come through - bargain if it does.

Was never convinced about the ipod, but recently with this new offering have changed my mind, it really is a cracking device. Bought my son one about 3 weeks ago from Dixons duty free (32gb for £219). The device is so well made and thought out. Best bit for my son who is working in Austria, we got a 3g MiFi network point and unlocked it, and he's got an unlimited internet contract so he can use the internet anywhere with his PC and ipod (even works on the Vienna underground). Best bit is the VOIP capability that he now has that means we can make free unlimited calls anytime of the day or use Skype, as the new ipod has the front camera and mic.

So agree this is a hot deal.

the 3rd gen 64 gig is £199 at studentcompuetrs, ordered mine yesterday

Just tried the code, but the site reports that "this item is not available for home delivery" when using it. So I guess that means it's only available for store pickup, which means quidco can't be applied?

Correct.

Looks like I'll have to stick with my Argos purchase then. I should have placed an order last night.
#23
By the way its on Amazon for £220?
#24
Hmm I want I iPod touch but can't make up my mind... 32gb or 64gb. I have the music to fill over 64gb but is it too much on the player?

Strikes me as a bit pants that Quidco have the voucher code listed as being compatible with cashback.

Just tried ordering the iPod without the discount code, but the restriction on store pickup still applies.
#26
People, for the code to work you have to open up BestBuy site via Quidco.

That's exactly what I did, but still got the message about the iPod only being available for store pickup.

Out of stock is out of stock from whatever link! Deal is over - for the time being anyway.

Just tried the code for the 8GB model and that does seem to work for Home Delivery - seems to be just the 32GB model that requires store pickup. Might wait and give it another go tomorrow.

Just had a look at studentcomputers but they say that they are refurbished and show signs of use, so have not bothered
#34
Looks like i'll have to stick with the 8gb one now. Quidco not tracked yet, but less than 24 hours. I get a bit tetchy if it does not track within a few hours. I have had a lot not tracked lately. Has anyone else's tracked yet?
#35
I phoned them up today and asked about my order which I already had which should be being delivered on Friday... Told her about the discount code. She checked it out, and offered a refund on to my card of the £14.80 (or whatever the amount was).

Just checked my online account, and it doesn't mention anything about this on the order. I imagine it has actually been processed, but just not showing.

Now, my question is... Will this jeopardise the 15% quidco I have that tracked last weekend? In my quidco account I have:
20 Nov 2010 Best Buy 233.99 35.10 Tracked
How long does it take for bestbuy to payout quidco? Would I be best to cancel, as the 15% discount is better than the £14.80 discount if I'm gonna loose it...

Ideas please people :)
#36
could jeopardise your cashback for sure, depends if bestbuy want to be knobs.

i ordered a pair of glasses through glasses direct using quidco, they phone me up to tell me those glasses weren't in stock so offered me a different pair. then they declined the quidco because the order was changed oO
#37
quidco like to decline for no reason (even more so if you have had any contact with the retailer) - i had an issue a while back with sleeping solutions - was worth about £60, they just said it was tracked through another affiliate and would not pay out

i bought from best buy this morning - got the £14.80 discount - but still waiting for quidco to track. Order is due to be delivered wednesday - so if no tracking will have to go for the tesco deal (nearly £30 of points + topcashback seems to track easily and pays out in a short space of time)
#38
When I posted this deal, I had just ordered mine but Quidco hasn't yet tracked. I ordered something last weekend and Quidco tracked within minutes.

I'm still hopeful though, I can't buy the Ipod much cheaper anyhow.
#39
Argh - the 32GB model just briefly appeared in stock for home delivery, but became unavailable again just as I was about to pull the trigger :(

I think the occasional item just comes back into stock briefly when someone cancels an order - probably due to their quidco not tracking.

I'm after a camera, but when it does come back into stock I can't place an order - having severe probs with their payment process.
