Great first post - have been looking for a deal on one of these all week and haven't been able to beat this price.

Total cost of products: £233.99
Total delivery charges: £0.00
Total discounts today: -£46.80
TOTAL: £187.19

Only worry is ordering from Debenhams who are the most inept online supplier I have ever had the misfortune to come across. If they get this one wrong or cancel it then it will definately be my last order with them ever (or until the next HotUKdeal bargain comes along!)

Please be advised to use discount codes with caution.

I placed an order for a couple of shirts with the previous 20% code and SHA1 for free delivery.

When I received my shirts I was charged full price and £3.50 delivery.

I phoned them up to complain and they didn't give a **** and were very rude and wouldn't even refund the £3.50 when I threatened to close my account/card. :x

They made it very clear that SHA1 is only usable by Gold card holders ONLY.

so you got rumbled?:D

Good deal. Tried to order one last week for similar price but they cancelled order. Wanted one for ages so thanks for posting.
#8
Heat and rep added, and ordered one too. I have been wanting one for ages but was waiting for the right deal. Even if they add shipping still a bargain.
#9
I ordered one at this price with the codes about 2 months ago. The ipod arrived within 48 hours. Worked well for me.
#10
That's a great price, but i wouldn't risk using the discount code unless I found out it was foolproof. I got caught out once using a code, they then charged me the full price because the code hadn't been sent to me. Luckily it was only for a £5 top
#11
theres a chance the code the wont work? I'm not taking the risk of getting charged full whack.
#12
Just a suggestion: go for black! My one looks stunning :)
#13
Can't you just return the item under the distance selling rules if they charge you the full wack (provided you don't open it )?

One day yes of course. Near future possibly as a new iPod model may come out soon. You'd be better looking for the 40GB and saving some money probably though as it will be just as cool for your boy and he probably won't miss the extra 40GB unless he's a massive music collector or storing files :)

You could also look at a 4GB iPod Nano - those are quite cool with the kids also and they are sub-£100 right now. They don't play video like this one does though.

My order has been cancelled :giggle:

After seeing how many people received their discounted iPods here, I rang Debenhams to see why they cancelled my order. It turned out to be a problem with my payment card. They told me the discount voucher won't work if I try to make another order online as it's only usable once/customer. They suggested that I make the order over the phone for £263 delivered and they'll refund the difference once it arrives, which I accepted. The iPod arrived today and I phoned them for the refund and they said it's already on its way.

So all in all, I received my iPod delivered for £187.xx - thumps up Debenhams :friends:

Well I'll tell you about my recent experince with the Ipod 80gb.

I bought one of ebay second hand for £150 and £5 delivery.

Got it and broke in 5 minutes.

I went on apple website and typed in my serial number to see if it had any warrenty and it had 120 so days left.

Requested a repair, they sent me the delivery packaging and picked it up free of charge the NEXT DAY!

They then reviewed it and sent me a brand new Ipod 80gb!

I was well chuffed, I basically got a brand new Ipod 80gb for £155.

You only send the ipod off and non of the accesories, and the status is all trackable through their website with a link they send you via e-mail.

Never had an Ipod before, but apples warrenty service is completely awesome and so quick, requested it and the next day I get UPS on my door with the package.

Here's my hint to you, if you can get an Ipod 80gb second hand that is faulty, they all have warrenty left on them because they were released around september last year.

Obviously the fault has to be within Ipod's warrenty conditions, not like its been opened or ipod linux installation gone wrong.

Mine was working fine then suddenly got stuck on the apple logo screen and didn't work however many times I used reset.

To find out if the ipod has warrenty you just enter the serial number on the back of the ipod on this page:
http://www.apple.com/support/

Under where it says "About Your Support Coverage".

Hope this helps.
