I have been told this is *like* Baileys, been meaning to try it for a while, now it is this cheap I think I will.

nice effort but asdas version "irish knights" has been the same price for years if not lower. both are exactly the same

tastes very similar to baileys if you havent tried it before, the real stuff is slightly nicer but not worth paying the extra for
#2
This isn't as strong as Bailey's but its stll very nice

Always this price though
#3
nice price..this stuff all seems to taste roughly the same and goes down a treat as a chaser with some ice

(Slightly off topic, ........ If you like a smooth Cream Liqueur you need to try Mrs Walkers Drumgray, knocks the socks off the competition. Have it fora treat sometime it's Yummy http://www.royalmilewhiskies.com/product.asp?pf_id=0010000003536<- I'm not endorsing royal mile whiskies here just showing you a pic) :)

any good?
#6
It is as good, believe me.....hot hot hot
#7
it tastes Identical....Im sure Ive paid £3 in Tesco and Asda before mind
#8
It's not as strong as Bailey's, still nice though. I believe it's usually £4 in Iceland.
#9
Hi,

Not voting either way as this isn't on offer however agree that it's a nice drink. Prefer Baileys but it's a lot more money to buy. Cheaper than Lid' as well.
#10
It's close enough to Baileys that if you're using it as a "component" of a drink you'll be fine.

If I was drinking it neat I think I'd spend the money.
#11
u can normally get this in netto for £4.99 for a litre and very often £3.99 :) i like baileys and this one is just as nice
banned#12
It tastes like watered down baileys to me. I will stick with the original brand thank you.

Yeah but Iceland is bankrupt.

Nice Volcanoes though

This has been a staple of Home Bargains booze shelves for many years now, always been 3 or 4 quid and not too shabby!

Ditto

Like Baileys ..................NOT :whistling:

Alright for putting in your coffee, but don't go near it with a glass and ice;-)
#17
At this price its worth a try. It doesn't matter if its not identical to Baileys, it should be your own personal taste. Stella doesn't taste like Carlsbourg but its still lager!
Good spot voted hot.

The main difference is Baileys is made with Fresh cream and whiskey whereas These cheap imitations are made with Fresh cream and white Wine, theres a huge difference in taste IMHO.
#19
Its so sweet, like drinking treacle, possibly to hide the dreadful taste?. Very cold imo.
Didnt enjoy it one bit. The cheap price says it all.
#20
as a student i have been drinkin this for a while since its a lot cheaper than the actual baileys, and from my experience its just as nice as the proper stuff. im confident if u were blindfolded and tasted them both you wouldnt be able to notice the difference.

so its a thumbs up from me great bargain!
#21
Jus buy some evaporated milk which is sweet and then go to mysupermarket or madaboutbargains or Hotukdeals and get the cheapest per litre rum/whisky/brandy and its close enough for a lot less,You cud always add a little sugar if you want a bit sweeter
#22
Its fine for putting in your coffee or making cocktails but you can definetly taste that it isn't Baileys. It is no where near as thick as Baileys and is not as strong.......
#23
Great stuff:thumbsup:

IMO there is a noticeable difference between this and Bailey's, Baileys has that extra kick, this is noticeable weaker although still very nice.

Got given some by the inlaws. I knew they didn't like me much! It really is awful, watery, too sweet, even has a taste of coconut in it somewhere. I wouldn't drink it again let alone buy it regardless of price.

FYI - If you're planning on layering shots with this, it's wont work as the density is different from Baileys so it sinks on a lot of drinks where Baileys floats.
