Found this in Costco Croydon(may be nationwide), included in the box is a leather case.I know most will be more inclined to go with Kindle, but thought I'd post anyway as I thought it was a good deal.(its currently £149.99 at play.com)

The new Wi-Fi enabled iriver Story eBook Reader takes over where the original left off and makes a huge leap forward. The style and practical nature remain yet with the Wi-Fi capability a whole new dimension is available for the first time. There is NO need to connect the Wi-Fi enabled Story to your computer to download books, simply log on to the user friendly interface and surf thousands of eBook titles available for instant download and review to your iRiver Story.

The Wi-Fi enabled Story is one of the most stylish eBook readers available with its slim design, fresh white colour and full QWERTY keyboard and is only rivaled in style by it’s predecessor. The 6” e-Ink display with its 600x800 pixel resoulution can be viewed in a portrait or landscape mode making the IRiver Story easy to use and comfortable to read especially as it only weighs 291g. The new Wi-Fi version of the iriver Story also has 16 different grey scales compared to only 8 on the original which means the text is even easier to read than before.

The New iriver continues to support a huge range of file formats including eBooks (ePub, PDF, TXT), Office Files (XLS, PPT, DOC) and Music files (MP3, WMV) all of which are viewable with NO conversion needed. The QWERTY keyboard allows you to edit text, make entries into the personal diary feature and perform book searches across your device. With a capacity of up to 8000 books on an external SD card the book search feature is invaluable. Other features that make the iriver Story a must have eBook Reader include, a battery life of 9000 page turns, a voice recorder and an audio player

Good deal, cheaper, and far more expandable and format supporting than the Kindle too. Useful for anyone that wants a cheaper (and better supported) alternative.

Nightmare to set up an e-reader?! How?!

The Wi=Fi for a start will not connect, no matter what you do. There is no way to set up static IP, as the built in Auto IP simply does not work. Returned the first one to Costco, thinking it was a duff unit. The second one was the same.

Rubbish Customer Service from iRiver. E-mailed them three weeks ago, asking for help with the Wi-Fi, still waiting. Had an auto response and a blank e-mail, nothing else.

The S/W you download to your PC is rubbish.

Read PDF in native mode very well, only plus point.

Got a Kindle after the frustration, brilliant Wi-Fi set up, no hassle. Far better display then the iRiver.

My husband has a samsung e65 which I found an absolute breeze to set up. I ended up getting the Sony 350 which I'm v impressed with. When trying to set up the iriver it looked as if it was transferring to the device from computer but when you tried to open kept getting error messages - book didn't seem to have downloaded. The guy at costco didn't seem at all surprised we were taking back as we weren't the first.

Why is this expired? I just bought one today in Glasgow and no sign of price expiry!

Thing is with this you can take it back if you don't like it, no hassle! It's open to other formats, it worked in 10 seconds to connected to my home wifi, no freezing issues - perfectly happy - thank you ukwomble!

What was diffcult about setting it up? I took mine out turne it on and it was set up.

Alos offer isn't expired I was in Costco again on Sat for something else and still the same price, so this should be "un-expired" :)

Thanks for posting HG

This deal expired automatically on the 25th Mar as an "end date" of the 25th Mar had been entered for the deal. I've removed the date and unexpired.......
