Would you pay £649.99 for a bike that made tea? :p

im not a bike enthusiast so this could be a really good deal

This is a good deal indeed. The forks alone cost £250 so its a worthwhile buy. Not sure on the warranty support in reality (despite crc claim to support 1 year), but worth noting that ironhorse bikes have been cleared for the last 14 months ( my mates bought some jan last year).

Have they been rescued or has the brand just been sold? ( A la karimore and sports direct)

No info on the weight of this model however.

You would have to be a mug to pay £250 for a set of Tora's. They are ok but weigh a ton.

Decent deal though.

I never said they were, its just that the total cost of the bike is less than the sum of its components when bought seperately (even at web prices), so that makes it a good deal. Normally Id suggest people avoid full susers between the £600 and £700 mark

I'm more a Fox man myself so couldnt comment on the supplied forks performance.

I owned one of these for a while. Paid closer to £900 when they first came out, and thought it was a good deal then!
Weight wise, it was around 29-30lbs which is by no means bad for a full susser. The x-fusion rear shock was fantastic IMO, and that from using a fox rear since. The forks were okay, well matched to the rear, but nothing amazing...better than entry level forks, any suntours I've ever used too. And both front and rear had lockout...this thing climbed like a monster!

At this price, it's an absolute bargain! I'd expect to pay this much for a similarly specced hardtail, let alone a full susser!
