Isle of Jura 16 Year Old (Diurachs' Own) 35cl bottle the cheapest I've see this for is £22 online so I was pleased to find it for £13.75, should be a nice stocking filler.

There were two bottles left on the shelf when I was in the Ystradgynalis shop earlier today, they were a bit hidden behind a hanger of bottle bags. I think this is probably a local deal.

I find the Tesco offers to be mostly local. I have gone to the branch near me hoping to buy bargains only to find full price or inflated priced products. Hit and miss.

This is a good price for the 16 yr old version. In my opinion JURA is by far one of the best tasting whiskeys around, However... there is not a lot of diffrence in taste and % proof between the 10 and 16 year versions and the price diffrence is quite large. The 10 yr JURA can be found 70cl @£22( if anyone finds it cheaper feel free to inbox me ;) )

Saying that would make a nice small gift for someone as whiskey is usually quite a large purchase. And two bottles for £27.50 can't really say no to that can I? Thanks OP

Merry Christmas x

Opinions on everyone's favourite whiskey please? Not a whiskey drinker myself, but looking for a favourite for Christmas with the family

. All depends on what taste you like; some are sweet some are peaty. Try balvenie double cask; very smooth. Or aberlour; very nice. These are single malts.

........ Also jamesons is nice and easy to get into; however this is Irish whiskey, different than scotch whisky (note the different spelling of the word whisky / whiskey)
