Well, ignoring the fact it's played havoc with your use of the English language " i've beaten daily my PB's"......... sounds like the athletic version of " to boldly go....."

it all depends how meaningful your PBs' were to start with...maybe you can enlighten us?

better nutritional value than lucozade?
how so? because it uses cheap standard sucrose as sugar rather than the quickly absorbed dextrose?
#31
I usually buy this when it's on offer (or similar stuff from Boots when it's on special). Seems to work best if some is drunk before exercise and then more during (proabably as it takes time to get digested into your system). I don't think it's as effective as some of the Maximuscle products, but it's a fraction of the price. I've made my own in that past (as suggested in another post), but this is more convienent and cheap enough to buy several when it appears as one of their regular deals.

I hope you realise that the ingerients list is in order of quantity, ie the first item is the most used. And the cancerous L-Phenylalanine is in the middle of the list in this product.

Usuaully its the last item on the list in sugar free drinks and they say you shouldnt have more than 10 servers of those to avoid risk... Probably why this is only £2.12!!!
#33
Be aware - 72% of this is sucrose (table sugar).

Should only be used while performing fairly high intensity physical activity (where your muscles will immediately use the energy) otherwise you are just going to get insulin spikes followed by energy lows followed by (potentially) obesity and diabetes.

Sugar is not a good energy source if you want something to keep you alert while sitting at a desk, driving, etc. In these cases go for something more natural.

is dextrose those energy tablets?

Lord_Anoobis
is dextrose those energy tablets?

they can pack carbs into bricks easy so i guess it may be dextrose in the same way as sucrose is the stuff in those lumps you put in coffee and tea. check the packs.

dextrose is glucose which is faster acting and more easily absorbed than table sugar which needs to be broken down a bit first before absorption.
Make your own with a bag of sugar and some salt for a third of this price if you want a cheap energy drink.

Thanks for the advice.

I just came home with about 30bags of Lucozades after volunteering @ the Lucozade station @ the London Marathon............ it was mayhem there was lots left over and kids stealing everything. In the end we got given them.
