SUPERB! This has been one of my favourite films for ages! It could be an aquired taste though. Not for everyone.

Only Have a Region 1 dvd of it at the mo with no player so I`ll be snapping this up!!

Good film, Tom Cruise is excellent as a sleaze-ball.
#7
HOT! Brilliant film, too damn long though, I wouldn't have time to watch it!
#8
any film where everyone bursts into song 1/2 way through makes it epic for me...
#9
Good film to a point, but its at least 1hr too long....in fact, I've never seen so many people walk out of a cinema before as I did when I went to see this!
#10
Possibly the worst film I have EVER seen. I watched it until the end, hoping it was going to make sense - but it never did!
Sorry !

That was the moment in the film that the final credits should have appeared...unfortunately it went on for at least another hour!

Don't be sorry. I agree and feel sorry for those commenting that haven't seen it and have probably followed the link to buy it. I hate the marmite analogy so I'm not going to say Magnolia is like it, but there definitely is polarity in what viewers thought of it. I think a lot of people say they like it because of the highfalutin praise it recieved, but some people genuinely enjoyed it so for them I say this is a decent deal. I on the other hand class it as the most pompous self indulgent load of drivel I have ever seen and wouldn't buy it for any price.

If you love the works of Steven Seagal etc stay away. In my opinion Magnolia is one of the best movies of all time.

I suggest you try before you buy as this film really will only appeal to a very small percentage of the people out there. The hype around the film far outweighed what it deserved on merrit. It is an over bloated, boring and pointless movie.

What's wrong with Seagal? Clearly you've never read Seagalogy, so dont understand the importance of his ass-kicking films.

Darn it, found it in an HMV store last month and got really excited, forked over the £15 price tag, it's a wonderful looking and sounding transfer of a masterpiece.

Glad someone else has heard of Seagalogy. Vern = legend.

That's the thing about the Marmite analogy, you either love it or you hate it.:whistling:
