Plus 13% Quidco (making this just £14.73)

Anyone remember these??? This "electronic organ in your pocket" was all the rage back in the 70s (3 million were sold apparently), and thanks to Rolf Harris's (over) enthusiastic ad campaign, most of us assumed the beardy paint-chucker had actually invented it. He didn't, but he should have because the Stylophone was as inexplicably enthralling as Rolf himself!

The classic Stylophone has now been sympathetically reproduced, with the original design in mind - down to the packaging! The stylophone retains all the original sounds and features of the 1969 model, but with added up-to-date technology, making it even more fun to make your own music!

Even though it was supposed to be a kid's toy, it has fascinated generations of musicians, and artists who have used a stylophone include David Bowie, Kraftwerk, Pulp, Belle & Sebastian, and even Marilyn Manson!!! Not to mention Rolf Harris.

Features:
The new Stylophone combines original features with new sounds and up to date technology. The original retro styling is also used for the accompanying booklet which incorporates songs to play along to. This will appeal to old and young music maestros alike!

Original Features:
Vibrato
Hand tuning
Headphone socket

Additional Features:
Volume Control
MP3 function - play along to any music - includes 2 way adaptor
2 new exclusive Stylophone sounds, as well as the classic original

£16.94 against £14.99 - some one hundred and ninety-five pennies saving. however you look at it, it's cheaper at HMV - which also gives you the choice of going picking one up rather than waiting for the post. A win-win situation. Don't get so defensive, it's not like you own the company selling them is it?

Not at all defensive, but you should get your figures right - it's not £16.94 against £14.99, theres 13% Quidco off so it's actually just £14.73 against £14.39 (- HMV's 4% quidco) :)

Gee, lighten up yourself, my comment was quite tongue-in-cheek as evidenced by the smiley.

And most people don't use quidco - which is why the admin of this site (who also own quidco) ask that prices displayed in thread titles are excluding any quidco cashback (which may or may not be paid by any merchant participating in it),

As play has them at 12.99 then I'd go with them, the cheapest by far.

Give us a break, I've absolutely no problem with people choosing whichever & from wherever they want to get the best overall deal, that's what the forums and freedom of choice give. I simply posted it as it was a good deal which nobody else had bothered to post, so fair dos if it's now been found a little cheaper elsewhere - no need to get stroppy over it :)
Oh, and my price did/does show the price without quidco

Anyone actually have 1 of these originally?

strewth sure do mate ........and still got it..!!! :whistling:

Good deal - give the OP credit for finding it and posting it. Sure people might have since found it cheaer, but neither of them bothered to list this on Hotukdeals before the OP

I can still play the 'Yellow Rose of Texas' and 'Amazing Grace' on mine which were two of the songs in the booklet you got with it. Unfortunately you generally had to ask people "Can ye tell what it is yet?"
