It's Not What You Think is an in-depth and frank memoir from this much-loved British TV and Radio personality. From Manchester's Piccadilly radio to Don't Forget Your Toothbrush, The Big Breakfast and TFI Friday, Chris Evans was part of the big TV shakeup during the '90s and on BBC Radio 1's Breakfast shows and then as the owner of Virgin Radio, he went onto fashion the age of the celebrity DJ.

This brilliant and surprising autobiography is a rib-tickling, yet frank account of the big ups and even bigger downs of Chris' career, including his incredible fall from grace at Radio 1, which resulted in him throwing in the towel live on air. These days Chris is a very different man from the arrogant, party animal he was ten years ago and his book his humbling and entertaining in equal measures - a must read!

Only reason I posted it was that it had 100% rave reviews on Amazon and Play - he used to be an annoying twonk but it just shows you people do mellow with age - I can probably get by without reading it personally :)

I would much rather line his pocket than most peoples.....

If you spend your life taking this attitude, I guess you'll not spend a lot of money mind.

I've read this book. While I found it interesting, I found it annoying too! It just seems a bit all over the place and left me with more questions than answers.

I would like to have known about his relationship with Gazza for example which he makes no mention of at all. Strange considering they were apparently good drinking buddies.

Also, you get the impression his companies were put together and run by someone else as he makes very little mention of them. Strange again as were told he is apparently an entrepreneur setting up a rival tuck shop while at school.

Lots of pictures in there too but he doesn't link them in with the actual text of the book. Some of them just have names by them and you're left wondering who they are! Completely random.

Anyway...bit off topic :)

Another BBC ****** , got a lot of nerve but very little talent IMO .
Gets to be a millionaire so must have someone's god looking down on him .
No longer listen to Radio 2 in the morning ; don't suppose they will miss us , weighs up the uniquely funded BBC very nicely . LOL

Always nice to create a debate in this day and age, personally i decided not to buy the book as I have about 5 to read in the meantime.

Hopefully a few people got it at this price:-D
