£2 less than the Waitrose and M&S deals for an Aldi ready meal? No thanks

Didn't Sainsburys do a deal very similar to this a little while back? I think that was £6 excluding wine but much better quality food.
first its not aldi deal lidl deal, second m&s food meal deal size usually very small portions and never left on shelf,Lasagne won a few award and its 1kg can feed all family also if have small kids, btw its %20 cheaper than other deal.

This Lasagne is great, and the garlic bread is just as good add the wine and I think it is a good deal for £8.
I believe that this lasagne has won a few awards over the past few years?

oh dear what is our world coming to. it tastes like a ready meal. flour, butter milk = white sauce, fried mince a can of tinned tom's some garlic mushrooms and onions fried in with the mince a bolognaise sauce and some lasagne strips layer and add some of that cheese you most likely have left from the tesco deal. F the salad and serve with the frozen potato wedges they have in lidl for 59p the pudding and garlic bread are 99p each and although ive had the pud its nothing special. more fond of their mini cheesecakes also 99p. Im not a fan of that particular wine tastes a little like vinegar. Nothing beats home cooked food. :)

If you made it yourself it'd be even cheaper, and better for your family (I'd check the salt content, especially).

20% cheaper but 50% worse quality...you get what you pay for.

Heat from me. I tend to buy all my meat from Lidl and i've tried this lasagne before and it's excellent. People saying you can make it at home for less, blah, blah, but that's just hassle going out and buying all the ingredients, etc Plus I bet you sure as hell wouldn't make lasagne, salad, make your own profiteroles, and get a bottle of wine for less than £8!? So pfffft off! Good deal!
    Superstu
^^^^ oh and I forgot you'd have to make your own garlic bread also. lol

Me too, there is never enough salt in ready meals nowadays :(

I am not sure it is a fantastic deal money wise, but they get top marks for creativity from me. Made me smile when I saw it.

I think people are forgetting this isnt just about the lasagne, it is also dessert (ok they are not the greatest but still edible) plus there is wine included.
I have had this lasagne many times before and really like it, there is no way you could make it for cheaper than they price they sell it for. Not if you want a good quality lasagne

I like the Lidl stores, great value can be had for good products, its a shame that the staff I have encountered are a tad 'rum'

Lidl's lasagne is top-drawer. but absolutely full of sat fat.

It'll be alright but hardly high class, the lasagne is nice though. But to be honest, what is the real saving here? Is this not just the normal price
    Superstu
The garlic bread is like £1, the profiteroles I had from there the other week are £2 (which are delicious!). So that leaves £5 for the lasagne, bottle of wine, and salad. So I don't think this is the normal price. It's a "meal deal" that Lidl are promoting - i'm pretty sure they made sure it was actually a deal before it went to print:)

According to the Lidl leaflet the normal price would be £9.66

Lasagne is pretty nice i used to buy them while at uni and couldnt be bothered to cook some nights and I enjoyed them.
Peoples problems here are they are snobs and dont want to look like they shop at lidl or aldi as it will make them appear poor which is pathetic, people moan shops like Tesco can be expensive, but wont buy theyre cheaper options or shop in a cheaper shop offering just as good quality food all for the sake of image, grow a pair! while also dont forget Lidl and Aldi are quite a big supermarket chain in Germany and really dont see anything wrong over there at the minute compared to here.

I think lidl food is great, can't understand the snobbery. If you look on their car park at a weekend you'll see quite a few decent cars, not all people with money think the same. But hey, it means there are less people in there so more chance of me getting their weekend offers.

Just go out and eat! Support your local restaurants not the chains! Youll be able to get a good pizza/pasta in happy hour for £4!!! My local does a three course for £7 - I know its more but Lidl?!

Good price for this meal deal, the lasagne is tasty but quite a high fat content.
