Can't find it anywhere - what are the dimensions of this unit?

Thanks
#2
Did the direct link not work for you?

Search for "I.TECH DAB CUBE" - should find it.

P.S. Added dimensions above.

This is priced up at £39.99 instore but if you take a print off with you they will match the £29.99 price.

Think ill give this one a miss , i dont think this will be very good.

Edit : review i found wasnt for this dab radio
#5
That review is for "The Bug" which is a completely different model, I believe. This one:

So I don't know if it would be fair to compare the review of that one to this. :?

I like the look of this DAB Cube and the link works fine for me. Great price too, it's £80+ at Amazon.Co.UK

There's a small note about here it ANDY, about half way down the page.

That's all I can see so far.
#10
Something here as well, from the Guardian this time.

Bought this today and it is really nice.
Only downside is that you can't use batteries (I think).
Very cheap DAB unit at £29.99.
Karma given :-) Thanks emmajk42

Could you let us know how good DAB reception is as it comes please jomppa? Thanks :)
#18
Bought this Saturday reception seems very good with just the smallest amount of ariel extended the only downside for me as its an alarm clock for the bedroom is the display isnt backlit without pressing one of the buttons but then it illuminates for around 10 secs.

Overall a very decent sound and reception for the price and so many radio stations to choose from, i think I picked up around 39 but obviously this depends on location.

Thanks for the feedback jase71 :) Appreciate it!

Very nice little unit. :)
Pity, as jase71 said, you can't see the time in the dark unless you press a button.
It does seem to have the precise time though (GMT), when in DAB mode which is VERY nice.
I received 16 DAB channels straightaway in the downstairs lounge (our house is on a hill) after switching on.
Retuned after turning on and it received the same number of channels.
I will see if it gets more when I'm in Finland!

I would actually like that because I've had alarm clocks with a backlight which were so bright that I could hardly sleep! But I know what you mean about wanting to know the time in the middle of the night, I have a button on my watch that I press to see that!

Hey
Does anyone know whether you can override the presets or change the CORE DAB selection?
It doesn't seem to work when I'm in Finland .. arghh. :(
Works fine with the 16 UK DAB presets though.:-)
Any info on the manufacturer would be useful (most places just sell the thing and 'Made in China' doesn't really help.
I just wondered whether pressing a few combo buttons might reset the DAB unit?

Jomppa, the manufacturer I-Tech have been around for quite a while, concentrating on little niche items, I've had one of their Mobile Bluetooth units for 2 years, great bit of kit.

I bought one of the above I-TECH DABS, and its spot on. Music quality is crisp, even a BASS port in the bottom which I didn't expect.

In store the DAB picked up 36 channels (without arial up), and purchasing and re-scanning, picks up about 46 stations, sweet.

nowhere to be seen..tried searching to no avail
#27
It magically appeared at the top of the hot deals list but the last post was from 2006 - I am also having trouble with date order - everything is out of sequence
#28
This same radio was listed last year in Superdrug for around the £25 mark (tip off from this site), I purchased 2, for my family and I. Overall impression is of a sleek qwirky little radio player but was disappointed with the quality of the signal received which is no true fault of the radio itself.
Honest opinion is that its worth around the £25 mark especially with the price of DAB radios becoming more accessible.
Not a bad find but I would definately stay away from the Amazon price and maybe do a deeper search for a better quality DAB radio.
Merry Christmas!!

Aww, didnt realize this was from last year, as its on the main hukd page. What is going on with these forums, can we just have the old site back. I was starting to get to grips with the new layout but I still would prefer the old layout.
