:w00t:I saw the repeat too!!! If I remember correctly, his costs were c£15 per unit, to sell to retailers for c£20, then to sell to the public for £50.

Judging by this post, he ain't making much anymore!

Ah, but didn't Duncan Bannatyne get a bit angry as he saw this as an excuse for parents not to read a bedtime story?

Anyway, these were in Asda for just over £13 a few weeks ago. How can they make a profit if they cost £20 to retailers?? I wonder if the iTeddy has been a commercial failure and they are simply selling off the remainer of the stock, much as happened with the bubble system?

I would assume since he got funding they could make them on a much larger scale so the costs would have went down dramatically, ten fold. The costs will be nowhere near the same lol, before he was making them himself now they are being mass produced. So i doubt even at this price he would loose them money

I wonder if he's had to give back the Ferrari..

My daughter loves hers that someone bought her for Christmas...Shame I can't get any videos to go on the darn thing! I'm doing something very wrong..
#20
I've heard people have been having trouble getting their own videos etc on it. Good for £12 but I'm still not getting one.

I don't think the actual teddy design is very appealing to kids, and the screen is tiny!!!!!
#21
These have been a huge commercial success (Source Dragons' Stories on BBC) and have made millions. The guy now drives an expensive sports car! And yeh I would guess now the production cost will have fallen a lot.

The business might even have been sold already.
#22
I think the business has now been sold to vivid imaginations. The pic is of the new iteddy brought out in aug by this company. The dragons den guy brought out the iteddy in a cream box. I have a white and pink one i got for my little ones from b&m, kids love them.

Great price here though. Saying that I got one of these first from wilkinsons for same price before xmas and had loads of problems hence why i got a refund and opted for the first version teddys instead.

£12 for the cute teddy, portable mp3 player and a rechargable battery. Definitely HOT!

Which colour you got? I had the pink one but it stopped charging, and now got the 2 gen brown one, the software on the media tummy seems to differ slightly. I could drop .avi and other files striaght onto the pink one the brown ones media needs converting with the software from the website 1st.

Back up to £24.98 now!!

Can you imagine a Chucky style version of one of these... It will be like the terminator but only a weird teddy version...

Your daughter is an iTeddy?:w00t::w00t:

I'd say 4-5ish

I have one for my 2 and half year old daughter, its very useful as when your going out just use it in the car keeps the little one busy. Maybe to understand how to use the full features they need to be old but to keep them busy the music and video feature is goood.

It's exactly the same one as the pic on the post. I can get photos and songs to go on it, but I'm getting no joy with the vids, although I seem to be doing the right thing and it is coming up as 'successful', it really isn't!
#33
i think this was the most over hyped toy of recent times

ok it was on dragons den etc but then there was hype that this was going to be THE in toy of last crimbo *2007* and then just faded out i guess.
#34
Still scanning at £24.98 at the T's i was in today
