I won't be submitting long iTunes lists in the future as I've been informed that any part of the post can be re-used by other members & posted as their own - even if its been submitted a few HOURS before. I don't feel this is fair on the original poster but heh that's the HUKD policy so I better deal with it!

Apologies if you feel I'm being too harsh but a duplicate post is a duplicate post no matter how you look at it, unless of-course the original post was submitted weeks ago.

Some good new finds there, thanks :)

Don't post often but feel I have to say something to the poster, very well done for all your long lists but would be much more grateful for seperate stand out deals, to be quite honest you must have put a lot of effort in and can understand your whineing all of the time about people stealing your deals, here is a suggestion, create a website and publish all of your itunes bargain on that or just publish one or two deals at a time, I for one am a little fed up trawling through massive lists of apps that are at best mediocre, what is the point.....

valid points, the long lists were done originally as some users prefer certain apps compared to others. so i decided to post all of them - some of which were dire (in my view) but some liked them

but a large proportion were good apps - i tried to avoid the trash as much as poss

There are already sites that list sales/free apps

All your doing is taking info of sites of random apps on sale... none of which are that great of deals. People just need to go to sites like toucharcade in the post above this, or http://www.appshopper.com

Another site I visit often is:

http://freeappalert.com/

Their motto is: "Paid iPhone Apps that just became free."

Some good apps, well worth a look.

You're 1/2 right. With the posts I do tend to visit approx a dozen or more App sites online and also approx 1/2 dozen on the iphone. And also I check iTunes. That is why it is SO time consuming writing up the long lists. Each and every app must be validated & checked. Sometimes you hit it lucky when you visit iTunes and do some random checks. A number of times I've found a deal before any of the online sites have noted it down. Also the sites you'd mentioned are all US based, 50% of the time the apps are only on sale in the US and not the UK.

So yes if you're willing to sift thro' the sites, check they're all valid & are UK based and on top of that spend your time doing that - then by all means please do so. This is a deals website & the whole point is that many of us do not have the time to wade thro' iTunes, online sites, iphone apps to find deals. HUKD is our source of finding bargains, that's why I've been a loyal member for so long

Those are 2 I do use, but they're US based. To be honest doing spot checks on iTunes sometimes gets better results. I tend to use some of the following in the searches to get some big name games & see if any are on sale: "gameloft" "chillingo" "electronic arts nederland bv" "namco networks america inc." "adventure" "action" etc... You do get 100's of results for some of them but if you spend the time you can get a decent bargain before the online or iphone bargain apps put them up!

Saving 59p on a mediocre-at-best iPhone app is not a hot deal.

When EA drops the price of their games from £6.99 to 59p (which they usually do every year around Christmas) then that IS a hot deal.

Nothing against the iPhone, but there are millions of apps, and that means millions of crap apps. We don't need to know when we can save 59p on those.

I agree with a small percentage of your points BUT some people do prefer the not so well known apps & saving 59p or in most cases £1+ is worth it for them!

How can you say the apps on this thread are mediocre? Most are rated 4* or more and some have been reduced by a lot more than 59p

I like a number of diff sorts of app's & some of the one's that become FREE or 59p I'd actually try out to see what they may be like (once i've read the reviews of-course & looked into it further). I like jump clock but many may find that mediocre - but its fun for a short stint. We're all different, but as a number of people did comment that they'd like far less of the "tat" s/ware I've removed it from my other Predator post that now has over 75+ top apps - if you think they're mediocre??? But some still will, to each their own. The other thread has a huge number of top 4* apps most of which i've purchased & do enjoy playing - you may find something in there to your liking? The other thread is here:

I like the big name games like GT, PoPWW, Avatar, Predator, Archetype etc... - all of which I've purchased thanks to HUKD. But thanks for posting

In future, just post "iTunes App Store Sale" and link. That's it. Thanks for your effort! :)
