#4
Cheap! Cheap!
#5
Pretty much all the reviews say the sound quality isnt that great.

Hope this doesn't seem like a stupid question, but can i use this with my ipod nano? It's just there's another speaker recommended on the same page that states for ipod use. Thanks Katie

its okish, I got one for my girlfriend last christmas. It's better than your average phone speaker and the battery lasts a surprisingly long time. Its good enough to listen while camping or something.

I went for the ipod/mp3 version at £3.99. The additional money seems to get you connecting cables/converters to link to the various mobile phone headphone sockets. I hope it fits my daughters LG Cookie.

Ordered 2 as well.

Thanks to op.

The quality of this items sound absolutely stinks.
I would not have it even as a freebie.

Don't be ridiculous. I bought this for my GF at christmas for a stocking filler (was £4 or something) and the sound quality is fine. She uses it on her netbook if she wants a fuller "bass-ier" sound or if she's outside sunbathing etc. If anything this little cube surprised me at how decent the sound quality was for the size and the price.

At 3 quid it's a steal and the perfect time of year where one of these things can come in handy for your phone or your mp3 player when you're lazing by a pool

IMO its listenable, its a lot better than a phone speaker which was my comparison point. Plenty of people listen to music on their phone speakers which I find unbearable. This I find bearable.

ive got 2 of these theyre great. 1 is permanently in my joggler as the sound is way better.

if you have EVER sat in a social situation, at a park, bbq, whatever and used the inbuilt speaker on ur mobile phone, then u DEF need one of these. take this to a bbq instead of 20 more sausages

If you want reasonable sound quality from a small speaker the xmini has been the best I've found. It's really surprised me - and others. It gets rave reviews.

Just bought one! fingers crossed it blows me away :P

Thanks OP, ordered, heat+rep added...been looking for one for these sort of things for ages...
My mum got one of these portable things that was battery powered only, for her mobile phone when out and about but for about £15. I was truely amazed at the sound you get from such a small device.

My girlfriend was looking at getting speakers for her netbook as sound so quiet you barely hear anything and this gets rid of needing two speakers and power supply for them etc. She'll be chuffed with this as it's small, tidy, USB powered (so no need to charge) and louder than netbook speakers.
(I say louder than netbook speakers because if it's as loud as my mum's tiny battery speaker on her phone it's more than loud enough and will do job nicely)

People seem to be moaning about sound quality, but if you're looking for something like this, amazing sound quality isn't your main priority... you're probably just after speaker that doesn't sound so horrible and tinny like netbook or phone speaker.... v.hot deal if you ask me. What more do you want for £3?

rubbish sound quality. yes, it is small, but damn it, last year technika speakers for £1 were much better than this in sound quality, although larger in size

Why would you compare it to a phone speaker???

usage scenarios, for example i'm not suggesting that this speaker cube becomes a main source of music in the house. However it could be a source of music on the beach or while camping. People often play music from their phone on the beach or while camping which is horrible to listen to. This is much better than a phone speaker.
