Here's a direct link: http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/4-/916465/Jabra-SP500-Bluetooth-Speakerphone/Product.html

5 star reviews from buyers on play. I expect they paid £50 and they're happy so I guess it can't be too bad.

no called id.

If you mean caller ID, you should be keeping your eyes on the road anyway! ;-)
#7
I had one for use in the car, but it was awful. This was a couple of years ago though so they may be beter now.
#8
I have this in my car, paid £30 for it in carphone warehouse, whilst it is not as good as a proper fitted handsfree kit it is more than a good substitute, on the downside you do have to remember to turn your bluetooth off when you leave the car, especially if your house is still within bluetooth range as it will constantly connect and disconnect whilst in your house which can be annoying, as said for £13.50 it is a bargain, hot in my opinion!
#9
thanks for the feedback Brad, I went for 1

Does this unit come with a car charger?

Yes

What kind of power cable does this take? Is it a mini USB soocket? I already have several items charged by this from my cigarette lighter so it would be handy!!

Looks like a bargain, HOT!
#13
Good deal, been looking for a cheap one of these, on order now-heat+rep added**Thanx**
#14
Bagged one,heat added cheers
#15
For £14 i've just bought one as it's one of those things that I keep meaning to go out and buy and never had, heat added. On the dowside, spent an additional £36 on dvd's at Play, just can't go onto that site and keep my money in my pocket!!

No not a mini usb - comes with a car charger, but has built in battery which lasts quite a while on each charge (only takes about 30 minutes to charge up and I only charge it once every 2 weeks or so - but I'm not a heavy user -try to keep calls short when I am driving!)

I've been pretty happy with mine and at this price it is a bargain.

Just be aware, these things are not great and I recall looking at this one before and found quite a mixed bag of reviews, quite a few negative.

Like most of these, you the driver/listener often get the good side of the product, the problem seems to be at the other end, ie the poor person who has to try and listen to you....or not be the case
#18
if i didnt have a bluetooth headset, id probably go for this

very good price though

I'm going for one i hate using my bluetooth headset i cant hear anything on that so this cant be any worse
#20
anyone know how this attaches to the sun visor or window? Im assuming its the windscreen and not the side window?

Just wondering if its going to be a pain putting it on and taking it off the visor / window every time you want to use it.

Great price tho
#21
There's a relatively positive review here. Tempted, as the price is good and Jabra are usually reliable.
#22
I bought one in dec for the same bargain price
never worked.... but it was just faulty
sure they are well worth the money !

charged it up and followed instructions (i am technical)
it just would not work - would not pair or recognise in bluetooth search

I have an iPhone so i thought it may not work with that.....
tried missus's Nokia 6500 - no go
nokia 7370 - no go
so checked compatibility list.....
tried my brothers nokia n70 still no go - dead

but Play are very reasonable with their returns and just refunded me

Has anyone got one working with an iPhone and i will try another one
#23

Well, it's great, but I still use my nano for most of my music!

I just can't get in to the habit of using it as a music player...
#28
Nice find! Ordered two, thanks.
#29
Great deal on a less than fantastic product.
A great bargain for just £14 -- I've grabbed one too.

looks a good deal...anyone comment on quality?

As you can see from my post count I don't usually bother commenting but I have to on this.

Bought one about a year ago, tried it for a couple of months & then sold it on ebay.

At 30mph (round town driving) its ok except for lack of caller display & quite big/heavy if you want to take out of car/security.
50mph+ rubbish, signal breaks up for person on other end of phone
70mph completely useless, you cannot hear person on other end of phone & they cannot hear you
#31
Thanks for that. Good price and most of the negative reviews seem to be around using it as a 'table speaker' and as I only want it for the car it seems ideal.

ordered 2 so fingers crossed it does the job.

I bought one and it was awful - sent it straight back. Bought a Motorola T305 instead, and it's much better.

With a comprehensive review like that, you should post more. It's great to have feedback and comments, and the site needs more like yourself.

Very strange coincidence. I work in sales splitting my time between office and on the road. Was thinking today, that a bluetooth speakerphone system for my phone would be useful. Did some googling and found this very same product! Was going to hunt for reviews and prices, but someone has done the leg work for me now!

Thanks! Voted hot.

Anything has to be better than those earpieces.

Well it would be worse than an earpiece if you were interested in the other person hearing what you are saying of course ;)

But I'd nearly agree with you if it got rid of those earpieces
