these are lovely

Doing the maths that JD is about 40% proof and this is 6% alcohol I get the result that there is 49.5ml of JD in these which is about a small double.

Is this right?

keep you nice and fresh during the drive home :)

That's correct.

6% alcohol in a drink like this isn't enough for me.

Price wise though you would get 20 doubles out of a 1 litre bottle.

If this bottle cost £20 like the hot deal at morrisons, each double would cost £1 plus the mixer.

If bought from Tesco for £27.28 then each double would cost £1.36 plus the mixer.

Not a JD lover - in fact hate the stuff but seemingly a good deal.

Have 8 degrees!

Long time i had one 10 years ago.

This stuff is nasty. Stay away. The cola is the cheapest of all cheap.

Buy coca cola and a bottle of JD.
#12
Got to be coke with JD this will taste like rolla cola
#13
I first had these in Australia a three years ago. They only started selling them here in the last year or so. They taste ok, not as good as with proper coke but if you just want a couple to put in the fridge, or as in my case for xmas then I think these are perfectly good. Also as my wife will confirm if I have a bottle I tend to do very very large measures so buying these keeps me sensible lol!

JD makes go crazy i love the stuff thats all i drink largers crap :viking:

A friend of mine says that JD is for poofs and they should buy proper whiskey.
#19
No doubt it is far cheaper to buy JD and coke seperately, I'm sorry this is cold from me bled.

It's not whisky, it's bourbon.

I beleive that was his point.

It's not whisky, it's bourbon.

Whisky = Whisky
Whiskey = Bourbon (or Irish Whiskey before the pedants arrive)

it's all in the spelling
#23
JD is a Tennessee Whiskey not a bourbon.
#24
this stuff is good its really convenient, easy, quick, simple and at this price cannot argue, heat up!
#25
Whatever it is it tastes great! ;)
#26
Minging. Buy some JD and some cocke and do it yourself. Unless you want something for the train / bus home.

Won't that taste a bit cheesy?

Just a note, to all those who are saying this is cold or a bad deal compared to a bottle (plus proper Coke) that that is not the point of the post. :?

I completely agree that that option is better but this is a post for 4 cans at only £5. They retail generally around £2 per can. Offering an alternative and in some cases more sensible option compared to buying said bottle and coke. Thanks to all those voting HOT

MERRY XMAS TO ALL AT HOTUKDEALS (yes even the ones voting cold lol) :santa:

Saw this stuff for the first time last week and didn't try because it looked expensive vs bottles, may give it a try now
heat added

you're friend is a 'tard, with drink issues and closet feelings for bourbon

Spotted these today too, along with the Jim Beam version that brought back LOTS of memories :)

Used to sell the Jim Beam cans some 20 years ago (!!!) in a rock club I used manage. First few taste like pop, but then suddenly you're ******ed  Happy days.

Oh yeah, and give me JD / JB anytime over 'proper' whiskey. Lived in Scotland for 4 years now and have tried countless 'best whisky in the world' efforts. I know it's all about personal taste, but they all tasted like chuffin paint stripper to me

Merry Christmas all :santa:

The amount of heat you give to deals has nothing to do with how much rep you have, its based on how much heat the deals YOU list gain, so if you post deals that gather 1000 degrees in a week you will give more heat then someone who posts deals that get 500 degrees in the same time.

Actually your both wrong, although opinion differs its technically knows as Tennessee Whiskey

waste of good JD, best as it is:)

Think I'll give the cocke and DIY part a miss! wouldn't fancy attempting to force my old boyo into the mouth of a can.

To clarify with people on a previous page Bourbon is a sub class of Whisky this can be explained that a Cookie is also a subclass of a biscuit. To be a true Bourbon it should be made in southern states of america, although Bourbon can be made anywhere really and has to follow some principles to be classed as a bourbon these are

Bourbon Club
1. You do not talk about Bourbon Club
2. YOU DO NOT TALK ABOUT BOURBON CLUB!!
3. Bourbon must be made of a grain mixture that is at least 51% corn
4. Bourbon must be distilled to no more than 160 (U.S.) proof (80% alcohol by volume).
5. Bourbon must contain no caramel coloring (E-150)
6. Bourbon must be aged in new, charred oak aging barrels.
7. Bourbon may not be stored in the barrel at higher than 125 proof (62.5% alcohol by volume).
8. Bourbon, like other whiskies, may not be bottled at less than 80 proof (40% alcohol by volume.)
9. Bourbon which meets the above requirements and has been aged for a minimum of two years, may (but is not required to) be called Straight Bourbon.
10. Bourbon aged for a period lesshttp://www.hotukdeals.com/item/556454/jack-daniel-s-cola-can-330ml-1-97-e than four years must be labeled with the duration of its aging.
11. If an age is stated on the label, it must be the age of the youngest whiskey in the bottle.
(Yes i got this from Wiki)

and JD is not Bourbon but its very similar.

These cans are very tasty. They have done it with a good mix and, they taste surprisingly strong.

There is no such thing as Whiskey in Scotland its Whisky.

And you are right its all about personal taste and you clearly have problems on that front. Coke shouldnt be within a million miles of a PROPER malt whisky and tastes nothing like the blended ***** that you have clearly tried.
#37
These have been around for at least five years, for the life of me i can't remember how me and mates came to have a tray of them......... i think it was a cash and carry promo at the time. I was pleasantly surprised by them once cold. I do also remember us getting to the point that we were making JD and cokes with these cans and a bottle of JD though lol so hence the fuzzy memory :whistling:

If you want as tip too if you like a good JD treat yourself to a bottle of one of the gold medallion bottles, JD but better.

Whisky or Scotch I have to say is a totally different drink to JD and I have to say a great single; no ice and certainly no coke is a top drink :w00t:

Now **** off you condescending, arrogant ****.

Aussie here and I bloody miss these :) I go to the shops here and there's only two choices: beer and cider! Argh! Hope these become a bit more widely available.
