Why is there a picture of a midget on the cover?

Nothing to do with Jack Reacher then?

Love the books. Film was rubbish. And why the hell cast Tom
Cruise as Jack Reacher who is 6 ft 6, blond and built like a tank!

Good deal so voting hot.

Great deal - have missed the last few books, and am very excited to catch up! Thanks op!

(not that it matters, but I thought the film was entertaining and seemed like it would never have been made without Tom Cruise's considerable clout (he might have been the highest bidder, but possibly he was the only serious bidder). Obviously Cruise is not who anyone imagined as Jack Reacher (including me), but there's lots about the books (that he is always a few steps ahead, disconnected from normal society, never intimidated or physically outmatched - as well as the idea that only a man like him can take down some villains, who think they are untouchable) which survive pretty well. All the people who can only see that Cruise is not 6'5 and built like a wall are missing the fact that a film with a musclebound giant would likely have had to compromise in all sorts of other ways).

Anyway, I'm glad that Lee Child has kept writing the books, and that a few more are going to be on my kindle later today! thanks again.

Good deal, though I was unimpressed by the ones I read (job lot from the Book People). Seemed very formulaic and lightweight.

Great books which unfortunately, IMO, seem to be diminishing in quality with each new instalment. Still worth a read though. Heat from me
