I thought it was alright. Just the customary boringly slow parts in the middle...

Great movie, far, far better than Quantum of Solace.

So how much is it without having to spend £30?

What a rubbish deal. So its gonna cost me £37?

I found this film incredibly boring with the usual smug and smarmy Bond in the same old predictable sex scenes and over blown OTT stunts and situations.

The dinner jacketed toffee nosed British spy just seems a bit too dated nowadays to me.
#10
brilliant film and a great price if you're doing you're 'big shop' there.

DVD.... what about Blu-Ray? who watches inferior dvd's
#12

As my main man Chuck D might say

"Don't, don't, don't believe the Hype"

It's just a fairly typical James Bond film, though nicely filmed by Mendes, some fairly rubbish one liners, a few minutes of Javier Bardem as a kind of evil John Inman stroke Larry Grayson, a Home Alone Ending, and fairly obvious "surprises".

No way should it have won best British film over the momentous Les Miserables.

Still it was better than (the similar in some of the story) Dark Knight Rises, and this is cheap for the DVD, so believe it or not heat added.

Why on earth did you watch this redonred. If Blu Ray was so good why has it not taken hold. It's not £37 its £30 shopping plus £7 for the DVD. There were no boring bits, I quite liked value for money watching almost 3 hours for the same price as most other movies half the length. This is for those who want the deal, not those who don't or are using this as an opportunity to make a comment to make themselves look clever but they at best are attention seekers.

Yeah, I did wonder why I watched it myself. It's probably the last Bond film I'll ever watch though.

A lot of folk went to see this because of the huge hype, 50th year, queen at the Olympics, etc. first Bond film I went to the cinema for. It was okay, but it had an incredible promotional campaign.

If you shop regularly at sainsburys, as a lot of people do.......it will only cost the extra! I didn't see it at the cinema....but it would be worth taking a chance for that price!

it may be around £14.99 based on sainsbury's website http://www.sainsburysentertainment.co.uk/en/Films-TV/DVD/Daniel-Craig/Skyfall/product.html?product=E11163756

Great film but it just wasn't a Bond film, it's too action nowdays, lost all the coolness of Connery, Moore, Dalton and Brosnan. Adele sucked as usual though.

Are you kidding? Not taken hold because it's not good enough? Open your eyes and come into the world of progressing technology. The picture and sound in (most) blu rays is amazing compared to DVD. And now that you can pick up a blu ray player for £50 or less these days, there's absolutely no excuse to be watching a format much less superior. Blu ray is too good to move back to DVD once you've had it. I ended up trading in all mine when HMV were doing the £1 each voucher offer...upgraded them to blu ray.

I honestly can't understand why such an old format (DVD) is still so expensive to buy, especially now blu rays are getting so cheap not long after release.

Each to their own, but my mind boggles at people who say the upgrade isn't worth it.

Poor deal to get the film £3 cheaper than elsewhere. Need to a) shop at Sainsburys b) need to shop there Monday to guarantee it wont sell out and c) Spend £30.

Asda - £10 for film and no need to spend £30 to get it.

Voted hot.

As for "hype" or not, 234,000 people have given it an average of 7.9/10 on IMDB. So whether or not you did or didn't like it, a good deal of people did.
Let's compare that with Roger Moore's best (The Spy Who Loved Me) at 7.1/10 (47,000 people) or arguably the best Bond (Goldfinger) which got 7.8/10 (87,000 people).

For me, best Bond film in the last 30 years. Certainly far better than Octopussy or View to a Kill.......

Since when was £10 cheaper than £7?
Yes I know that you have to spend £30 at JS but SWMBO does that and more quite easily.
If you don't want to spend £30, buy a shaver for £30+, buy the DVD for £7 and then return the shaver for a full refund.
They won't bother charging you full price for the DVD.
Always works for me on the petrol deals.

Blurays is a dead format, with downloads .. But each to there own..

I find DVDs look just as good on my Sony hd TV as these are upscaled on bluray players anyway.. But
And that's a major but I only care to have a 32" those with a bigger one need HD
