Really? I thought he made it to comical, to many silly jokes and puns!
Moonraker anyone?

Still a great price and there were a couple of good ones he did.

I would only replace my collection with Blu Ray ones which are still to costly

I cant tell if that was said with irony or not..... however I will sit back and watch this thread with interest. My list below of bonds.... 1. being favourite, 6. least favourite

1. Sean Connery
2. Pierce Brosnan
3. Timothy Dalton
4. Roger Moore
5. George Lazenby
6. Daniel Craig (awful... Bond was not supposed to be a blonde haired pouting tart).

Reallly hot deal... am thinking of buying it, only consideration being the Sean Connery set is at 35 quid...I'd hoped to buy all 22 for around 60 quid...

Brosnan and Dalton?!

LAUGHING OUT LOUD

The problem with the Moore films is that in the end they wouldn't let Moore do hardly any stunts himself.... and it shows. Take Octopussy for example. This is the period where Bond became quite low budget...... some of them are still quite fun though for comedy purposes, however I'm not sure half the comedy was intended so you end up laughing at them rather than with them.

Ian Fleming originally wanted Cary Grant - he would have been fantastic!

14 discs? Come on, you only need one James Bond DVD, since they're all the same. Fast car, unobtainable hottie, a few gadgets.
#17
1. Connery
2. Moore
3. Bronsan
4. Craig
5. Dalton
6. That other bloke.

Agreed. I grew up watching Moore as Bond, just as I did with Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker as Dr Who, so for me, Moore is top dog. As for Moonraker ...

Space shuttles?
Lasers?
Jaws?
Dr Holly Goodhead?

What more could a teenage boy want?! For me it's the best Bond film and none of the others have been as good. I've not even watched QOS as it looks about as appealing as sucking on a dish cloth.

Connery for sure.... but Craig's way too pouty. It's not a good look and it's defo not Bond...... who does he think he is? Victoria Beckham?

George Lazenby was the best and he would have saved us from Roger Moore if his manager didn't say that the Bond series was dead and he quit.
#24
For me it's:
1. Daniel Craig
2. Timothy Dalton
3. Sean Connery
4. Roger Moore
5. Pierce Brosnan
6. George Lazenby

Which is strange because I love classic Bond films and went in to Casino Royale expecting to be really disappointed and dislike Daniel Craig, but I was so surprised. He is very emotionless and calculating. He puts the really dark, nasty edge back into Bond, as it was in the books, and as it should be.
#25
Firstly. Credit to OP for this deal. Awesome price.

I will always be loyal to Roger as the best bond as I grew up with him as bond. Sean was excellent though. Daniel Craig also has a good screen presence. Rest not even worth commenting on.
#26
Auh if i didnt own the Casino Royal poker chip complete collection i would snap this up, amazing price.

My personal fave has to be "A view to a kill" awesum Bond movie and great Bond theme.

Just to get in on the act,

1) Moore ( I guess its an age thing, of who you grew up with as a child/Teen )
2) Connery
3) Craig ( Turned Bond movies around after the damaged caused by Die another Day at the like )
4) Pierce B ( he only did one decent Bond, that was Goldeneye )
5) Dalton
6) George L ( Nuff said )

For England James........... No for me!!!

Give over - he was dubbed for nearly half the film and couldn't act his way out of a paper bag..
Connery all the way for me.:p
#28
Super deal , good fun watching the movies now , kind of nostalgic. for me ,
1. Connery
2. Moore
The rest are a waste of space, too artificial, their style of acting, kind of make the films cheap and nasty , whereas Connery & Moore did it with some flair without making films seem ridiculous.

I think George would have been good too, But I saw a documentary , were they said he was a prat, hard to work with and stardom had gone to his head and he spent more time dossing, so he was a no goer.
#29
Thank you Pachi, excellent deal:thumbsup:
#30
In order

Sean Connery/Timothy Dalton
Daniel Craig
Roger Moore
George Lazenby
Barry Nelson
Bob Holness
David Niven
Pierce Brosnan
#31
Pierce Brosnan is fab, he was just in crap Bond movies :)

Nice one, goes well with my Brosnan set.
One of my greatest childhood memories was my Mum & Dad taking me and a friend to see Live & Let Die at the Odeon Leicster Square (just thought I'd share that:oops:).

licence to kill was always my favourite one, so i guess i like dalton best

connery is the one i think of when i think of bond however, he created the character (on screen) and the others had to adapt it
