Promising revolutionary digital effects and an epic storyline, the hugely anticipated Avatar sees the director of Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgement Day, James Cameron, returns to breathe new life into the sci-fi genre.

Winner of the BAFTA Awards for Best Production Design and Special Visual Effects.

Winner of the Academy Awards for Best Art Direction, Best Visual Effects & Best Cinematography.

Featuring Terminator Salvation's Sam Worthington, Star Trek's Zoe Saldana and James Cameron's Aliens star, Sigourney Weaver, Avatar tells of a future conflict between resource-guzzling humans and the indigenous inhabitants of the planet Pandora: the Na'vi. Humans can't breathe Pandoran air, so paraplegic marine Jake volunteers to become an Avatar: a genetically engineered half human/half Na'vi controlled via a mental link. Sent to scout out the `enemy`, Jake falls for the Na'vi princess, Neytir, forcing him to choose sides when the conflict escalates into full-blown war.

standard price everywhere I'm afraid. I even pre-ordered at that price.

I had email 2 days ago saying its been sent. The Embargo is for Monday so that will be interesting to see if it arrives before then.

Yeah, the price is mediocre i agree, but delivery with Play is always good! My product should arrive tomorrow!

Delivery from Play is always slow in my experience. 3-5 days usually. But then i've not used them in a long time as they are generally more expensive these days.

This! plus with my McD's Monopoly I got a further £1 off

I've got a £2 McDonalds Play voucher. So making it £13.99 plus Quidco.

I'm going to hold out and see if Asda or another supermarket have a low first day offer.

Might as well wait til November to get the decent Blu-ray release. Very little effort but into this one - other than the top notch picture quality of course.

Agree, I always wait at least 5 days for a product to arrive plus it seems to take ages for them to dispatch after originally ordering. Amazon always price match plus they normally post out same day as order is placed.

I got an email saying my Avatar was posted yesterday, I expect it to arrive tommorow
