If you thought that James Cameron's sci-fi blockbuster couldn't get any better, then think again. Featuring three versions of the film, the Extended Collector's Edition includes 15 minutes of unseen footage, 45 minutes of deleted scenes, and a feature-length making-of documentary.

The highest grossing film of all time and winner of three Oscars, Avatar is 'Titanic' director James Cameron's epic tale of love, loyalty and betrayal. An incredible experience, it will delight audiences of all ages with its blend of extraordinary special effects and compelling characters.

With revolutionary digital effects and an epic storyline, Avatar sees the director of Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgement Day, James Cameron, return to breathe new life into the sci-fi genre.

Winner of the BAFTA Awards for Best Production Design and Special Visual Effects.

Winner of the Academy Awards for Best Art Direction, Best Visual Effects & Best Cinematography.

Featuring Terminator Salvation's Sam Worthington, Star Trek's Zoe Saldana and James Cameron's Aliens star, Sigourney Weaver, Avatar tells of a future conflict between resource-guzzling humans and the indigenous inhabitants of the planet Pandora: the Na'vi. Humans can't breathe Pandoran air, so paraplegic marine Jake volunteers to become an Avatar: a genetically engineered half human/half Na'vi controlled via a mental link. Sent to scout out the `enemy`, Jake falls for the Na'vi princess, Neytir, forcing him to choose sides when the conflict escalates into full-blown war.

Special Features:

Includes 3 versions of the film including all new Extended Cut of the film featuring 15 minutes of unseen footage
Capturing Avatar: An in-depth feature length documentary covering the 16 year filmmaker journey including all new interviews with James Cameron, Jon Landau, cast and crew
Over 45mins of deleted scenes
Interactive Scene Deconstruction: explore various stages of production through 3 different viewing modes
17 Featurettes covering the Performance Capture, Scoring, 3D Fusion Camera, Stunts and more
The Art of Avatar with over 630 images and much more!

It has, but it is the case of finding a good deal to use it with, as most prices on Price Minister fluctuate a lot.

Great price for a great set. I actually preferred the theatrical version, as although a couple of the new scenes are good, the others feel a bit out of place. Nice to have the choice of three different versions of the film, though.

Just to tell you... I think it was ASDA that was offering this for a tenner... so its not that great... but i can see its cheaper than anywhere else
#13
Asda definately were not offering this version for a tenner, it must've been the original Blu-Ray release or the DVD version mate.
By the way this is a great package, picture quality is immense.
