Sorry cold from me - the lid of the blender fills up with water when you wash it and you cannot get it out - after a few uses it started to smell of stagnant water. Sorry but I binned mine.

Seriously though, cheap kitchen gear like this is almost always a false economy. The comment earlier about the lid filling with water is typical of stuff like this.

We have a hand blender, made by Bamix. Now that is a good piece of kit. It gets all sorts of hammer, and is still as good as the first day we used it.

I think Ramsay has endorsed it - but be warned, it's not cheap tat.
