I have one and have to admit it is a simple but brilliant idea.

The kids use it rather than pounding stuff in my pestle and mortar

I picked one up from matalan after christmas for £3.

I had wanted one for ages, but to be honest it just sits on the shelf. maybe when summer comes and I make some dressings i may use it.

I was given one of these and I am so glad I didnt waste my money on it. The plastic after a while cracks and it leaks. Total rubbish save your cash people!
#7
My sister had one and it broke after a couple of weeks - put me right off.

Good price if you want one, but bad product. How often do you see Jamie Oliver using one in his TV shows?

One of the reviews says there are 2 versions of this shaker. All these issues seem to be related to the V1 (apart from the first one, but I liked it so much I had to add it), and I believe Amazon now sell V2 of this product.

These are really rather poor. Get a decent quality mortar - much better in the long run.

Guys - DON'T use this near the kitchen window while looking at that cute girl next door or you could get this reaction :w00t::

Saw the purple one being sold by Amazon a week or so back at this same price when I was looking thru Offeroftheday site & ordered, but haven't received yet so can't comment on durability issues!

People will buy absolutely anything if it's advertised enough.

Good for you if that suits you. The pestle and mortar has been going strong for thousands of years and will keep going long after this thing has faded away. Easier to clean too.:-D

As I said, good for you IF it suits you. :)

Upon reading the Amazon reviews, I notice a tendancy to splitting, leaking and requiring too much shaking to crush a clove of garlic. I'm definitely sticking with my trusty pestle and mortar!

Laughed at one reviewer's statement that "It would appear Mr Oliver has been forced into making this contraption due his propensity for spitting whilst speaking." :-D

He used too but was told off and no longer does it.

I had one of these and used it lots, until it cracked and leaked all over the place. Not impressed was I.

The MOST POINTLESS gimmick of all time!

Just use an empty jar (normally £0.00)!

I don't think a glass jar would do well if you put a ceramic ball in it and started shaking it about...

I got one for Christmas, very good little gadget, great at this price.

Really? O_o

I have more made out of plastic than glass... must just be the kind of products I buy... or that I can't be trusted =D
