I've heard both and i dont think their is anything between the Q Acoustics and the Jama.

go with what looks more pleasing on the eye and the misses!!

okay now

shall i get the jamo or the sony?

Sony HT-AS5 5.1 Home Cinema Surround Sound System (Full HD & 3D Compatible) - £129.99 @ Amazon UK
#6
Sony I think has built in decoder. The Jamo is only Powered sub, you will still need an amp to power the other 5 speakers.
#7
can i use the sony or jamo with my onkyo sr508 av?
#8
I have a SR507 with my Jamos, so I'd assume so yes. In fact I don't see any reason why they couldn't be used with any AV receiver.
#9
I've got the Jamos, they go well with the new 3D Samsungs. Silver edging.

Discrete is better.
#10
Dont forget 10% quidco.

Onkyo - unheard of brand? Surely not. Anyway great find. Already have the Jamo's and they're great. Merry Christmas. Heat Added.

nice price. Just bought the Canton Movie CX 80 on clearance for £140 after £10 VIP discount voucher at richersounds, supposed to be way better than these. Hard to find them though, only around 15 left in total.

I have both, the Q Acoustics sound much better. They have better range.
#28
Shame the Q Acoustics look like a Blue Peter presenters botched effort on trying to make some speakers out of some old Weetabix packets, god their fugly!!

Ive had these Jamos for a while and they are superb, and so small you hardly know they are there.
#31
These speakers are quality!!!!!!!!!! Got these babys in a 7.1 set up and the sound they produce for the money is amazing
#32
Great find at this price. I paid nearly 250 for these to use with my Onkyo 606 in a 5.1 config, and they are fine. Good sound, and very discrete. Hardly notice the speakers, they really are small. Does anyone know where can I find 2 more speakers to make it a 7.1? They cost over a hundred quid in Amazon just for 2 speakers.

They come with covers.

The Jamo rear speakers are not the same as the fronts. The fronts are twice as heavy and have 2 drivers...one infront of the other as opposed to a single driver in the rears.

Beware, I blew one of the rears at high, but not deafening volume.

The sub is OK for the price but the centre speaker is rather weak.
