It's the story of Jason (Todd Armstrong), a fearless sailor and explorer, who returns to the kingdom of Thessaly after a 20-year voyage to make his rightful claim to the throne. But to do so, Jason must first find the magical Golden Fleece. He selects a crew and with the help of Hera, Queen of the Gods, sets sail in search of the Fleece. I wouldnt mind the Sindbad movies, Argonauts and Clash in a box set if it was about. With commentaries. Ray H was a master at his craft, and spent a LOT of time perfecting things. Phil Tippett pushed that a lot in the 80's and 90's. After that - all went CGI really and it lost its production edge. But a real classic form of effects thats worth watching with the kids. Much like the Indy movies. They dont make em like they used to, kids today prefer HSM and SpeedRacer eye candy. Not quite the same.

Is this the unrated version. If so it's pretty gory.

Eh? I thought there was only one version of this? Never heard of an "unrated" version for it.
