Don't go in the water!

Celebrate the 30th anniversary of this classic film with this fantastic 2-disc special edition.

The peaceful resort town of Amity, Massachusetts has always depended upon its thriving summer tourist trade to get it through the lean winter months ahead. But when a swimmer is killed by a great white shark, Sheriff Brody faces great opposition when he proposes to close the beaches, right before the 4th of July holiday weekend...

Based on the novel by Peter Benchley, this is the film that really put Spielberg on the map.

What i don't get is why there is a boxset which consists of the 2/3/4 movie but not the 1st:?

The first movie is sold separate from the other 3 :?

Don't get why all 4 movies are not together in a set?

Me as well, infact this might have been the 1st film I ever saw at the pictures, or was it Star Wars, I remember there being long queues to see both of them.

Great film, and price!

I thought that, but then figured that the majority of people would want to purchase Jaws 1 seperately as the sequels are ....

Just ordered!
Wasn't even thinking about watching it again, still remember when it came out and the head rolls out! Ughhh!

Love it too - could play all the parts as watched it SO many times. I never go in the sea anywhere at all now and haven't since it was out. I stick to the swimming pool. Was on again the other night on Sky so had to watch it yet again! :)

i think the reason they dont appear as a single boxset is because 2-4 were a different studio/publisher

Correct...same scenario with the 'Pink Panther' box set and the 'missing' film...h/r added op...top find...one of the best all time classic movies...and soooooo quotable esp Robert Shaw's character ! J2 was 'ok' as far as sequels go but the others are not worth the celluloid !

"You got sh!tty hands Mr Hooper...been counting money all your life"

"Kids these days come out with everything...Sonar...Radar...Electric Toothbrushes!"

"Anti-Shark cage. Dunno what our shark'll make of it...eat it I guess"

"You go in the cage. Cage goes in the water. Shark in the water...our shark. Farewell Donald-Doo.........."

Love it...LoL...gonna dig it out and re-watch due to this post...ahhh the memories !

...J2 is on itv @ 22:35 tonight btw...what a coincidence !

"You're gonna need a bigger boat"

"This shark, swallow you whole. "

Classic lines from a classic movie.

Great deal.... and yes forget the sequels.... wouldn't have them even for coasters!

I remember seeing this at the cinema too.. it was the only place I've ever seen the full autopsy scene where Hooper says "So this is what happens when a young girl goes swimming." (he then measures the remains of the body with his tape measure then says "The bite radius indicates the..." (the scene where he then measures the bite on the tiger shark then makes more sense)

The only version I've even seen since the cinema goes.. "So this is what happens..(cut).. indicates the...".

I bet this isn't restored in this version, neither will it be in the extras (unless anyone wants to state otherwise). I returned the last anniversary edition due to this cut, and bought it from the US, only to find it was cut there too.. I really want to see the uncut version again.
