Just purchased the white version from here, very happy with them. But no more white left, black are available though still.

"The Aluminium black JBL Creature three-piece speaker system includes two desktop speakers and a subwoofer.

Both speakers and the subwoofer are magnetically shielded to provide protection against image distortion on a computer monitor.

The JBL Creature comes with unique "capacitance touch" volume control buttons on the right satellite.

Both satellites also have down-firing green LEDs for a cool desktop look in low-light situations.

The JBL Creature works with both PC and Mac computers."

got my last set (white) from a supermarket for about £30 so not sure this is a good deal.

edit: didn't look close enough, these are newer model, doubt there's much difference though?

I have a white set of Creature 2's, bought from Asda last year for £30. They sound mental for their tiny size, outstanding size for something so small. Then again, so they should as they were £99.99 to start with.

Not a bad price for a set of III's - next cheapest is £68 @ Laskys.

From the JBL website, the only areas of difference are below.

Personally, based on this, I would buy a pair of II's - I bought a set a couple of years ago for £40 which even now is a good price if you can get them for that.

JBL Creature III

Drivers: Odyssey+™ in satellites, Magnum™ in subwoofer
Power: Satellites – 8 watts total (10% THD+N) Subwoofer – 24 watts total (10% THD+N)

JBL Creature II

Drivers: 40mm (1-5/8") in satellites, 75mm (3") in subwoofer
Power: Satellites: 5 watts each (1% THD+N) Subwoofer: 15 watts total (1% THD+N)

What would be better these of logitech x540's? Purely in terms of quality of sound?
Im planning on using them with a ps3 and hd tv?

b****** specs, unless anyone has real specs..
the creature 2s, like most 2+1 speakers having small tweeters and a sub and all top and bottom, no midrange = bad for music.
nice upgrade for cheap LCD speakers though.

now for something constructive, for this amount if it's for music i'd go for better 2.0 speakers e.g. Creative T20/T40
http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog?q=creative+t40&hl=en&cid=2043445021134589237&ei=n_6sTK6RN9TT-Abv38DXAQ&sa=title&ved=0CAcQ8wIwADgA#scoring=p

even small monitors like the AV20
http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/10662631/M-Audio-Studiophile-AV20-Speakers/Product.html?_%24ja=tsid:11518|cc:|prd:10662631|cat:Peripherals

are going to sound a whole load better for music.
the Creatures a really about looks to be honest.

Not so, taking into account the speakers are out of stock

Brillaint set of speakers. I have the II's and cant fault them whatsoever! I only paid £30 from asda last year too.
I also have the Harman Kardon Sound Sticks II and I totally prefer the Creature.
#21
Hi,what sort of length of speaker wire is there? between them and the subwoofer?
#22
Really good speakers!

So many other speakers out there like Sony for £50 and they're total garbage!

Must buy speakers!
