Cheapest I've found these superb speakers, £49.99 and you can collect in store at that price.

I already have one pair downstairs, going to get another for upstairs.

Slightly cheaper here :

http://www.savastore.com/productinfo/product.aspx?catalog_name=Savastore&product_id=10288811&pid=45&tid=220

£48.85 delivered... but if I had a PC WOrld near me I would probably buy them there for the extra.

I have these - they are great and pleasantly weird in shape.

I got them a little more cheaply - from boots.com. The *starting* price there is £52.49 - when you take into account discount codes, advantage points, quidco, etc. - the price really goes down.

Especially as they're currently doing 12 points per £1 - that would be £6.24 off in advantage points alone. I think quidco is another 6% off? Something like that.

OUt of stock at Boots though! :-(

oh... sorry... Well, they've been going in and out of stock at Boots for a while, so I guess it depends whether you're in a hurry...
And it doesn't make a big difference - these are all good prices.

I fancy a pair of these, they're tiny though. Is the sound crisp and punchy?

The sound is really good, out of the two top speaker systems around this price (in my opinion) which are these and the [FONT=arial,sans-serif][SIZE=-1]Harman Kardon SoundSticks, these are much clearer.

My father has a lot of 'proper' high end speakers (weigh 3 ton a piece and have to be dark brown wood :) ) and he rates these as the best 'modern' speakers for the money.

My neighbour popped around the other day, and asked where my hi-fi was, as he can often hear it and it sounds really good, even next door.

I had to explain I don't have any hi-fi, and pointed to the tiny speakers on my pc  he couldn't believe it was them he could hear.

You do realise that this was his polite way of asking you to keep the noise down? :)

Haha,no he's as bad as me for the music, we're all pretty young families where I live and are all very noise tolerant, thankfully!

True but PC world gives 6% quidco on deliveries... Savastore is only 3.
£3 v £1.50 approx.

True - but it's £3.99 extra for delivery from PCWorld. The Savastore is £48.85 delivered. Hence - if you have a PCWorld nearby then probably as well to Collect In Store for convenience - if not then Savastore is cheaper.

These are back in stock at Boots online. I just ordered one using a 10% Boots voucher code BFTF25 making it £47.24. Went through Quidco for 6.5% cashback (hopefully!). Boots Advantage Points = 209. If all this works then the net total is £42.08.

the best thing is the volume control, you just have to place your finger on the plus/minus buttons, no pushing needed
