These are now reduced from £69.99 to £44.99.

I bought one yesterday at £59.99 so going to return it and have already reserved it again at the new price, anyone know if this can be done? It's still unopened as it was a birthday gift for my dad.

Anyway, great price, supposedly a fantastic piece of kit too!

I picked one of these up when Tesco's were selling them for £21.96.

It's not bad but they do a 3P version for the iPhone

Possible price match with currys?
http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/jbl-on-stage-3-mp3-speaker-dock-black-01566442-pdt.html
£119.99 so £75 cheaper (10% of the difference =£7.50)
£44.99 - £7.50 = £37.49

I have the mini version of this, mainly as it takes batteries so I can use it on holidays, sound quality is amazing with JBL. Def a hot deal for this. :-)

Just noticed this takes batteries as well! Hmmmmmm shall I.......

Nice price but lack of iPhone support means a no go for me.

Is that the only difference?

They will work with the IPhone, though you can get the usual crackles associated with Mobile Phones and speakers. The IPhone compatible ones are shielded to stop this I think.

Ask for a manager if they say no.

Yes and the 4th generation Nano. I also got mine from Tesco's a while back. Very good sound. Would recommend.

Is this the exact same one as was on sale very cheaply in tesco a few months ago? This one definitely supports 5g nanos too.

Just been to currys in Cardiff. They price matched. I only paid £37.50. They had this on sale for £119

Very surprised they did that as it's a different model in currys, their one is the jbl on stage IIIp (for iphone also) which has an rrp of £119.99, that's why I didn't pursue this route - probably should have given it a go though, well done!

Happy enough with getting it for £44.99 though after taking back my £60 one.

you just bet me to it,this is the model that currys have:
http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/jbl-on-stage-3-mp3-speaker-dock-black-01566442-pdt.html

and this is i think the same one on argos, still cheaper than currys, but not the same model as the 44.99 one at argos, thought i was about to save myself more money on it and its a different one currys have, this is the argos one they said is same:

JBL Onstage III PIP Black Speaker Dock.505/0385

I tried calling them to price match thought i would save even more on this item but they said no more or less so this guy on here was lucky or he has the older or different model.

What is the difference is the more expensive one better,or they both the same?i dont have a ipod touch and dont think i wil ever get one,but i do have a ipod 32gb touch so is the one on offer at 44.99 from argos ok and be fine for it,or is the more expensive one needed?

If someone could tell me why one is more than the other and if the argos one is still good for me.

I'm being moderated... I think .. Photos to come. I think I got very lucky indeed! One thing to note is the SEL or price tag in the shop dose not say its the 3P which i why I got away with it :) happy days! Worth a shot guys!

Hi,

I purchased this yesterday. Are people aware that this particular model...the onstage 3 has a notorious low level noise problem? google it. I was wondering what the hissing was. It's only noticeable on low volume and not all the time either. It's not the Wi-Fi by the way either. It's a known problem with this model. So the only question is..can you put up with a bit of noise and save yourself 40 to 50 quid on the 3p model which is essentially the same but without the noise problem.

I managed to do the same at Curry's in Stamford!! To be fair I didn't realise they were different models till I looked at the Argos site again :)
