Probably rubbish but good for the occasional DIYer.... These kind of sets have often got me out of a pickle
You can easily pay double this for a single (quality) drillbit

Its an absolute bargain price... H&R sir, good find
#3
Good deal. cheap Hole saws and flat bits are priced more than that at the local market! Voted Hot.
#4
Great price for this , possibly use once and throw away but still good value

It costsmore for a packet of rawlplugs these days :-)

I see that you've been trolling through various peoples threads tonight/today just leaving nasty comments http://www.hotukdeals.com/search?key...rch=Search+Now so, either grow up or go away. Or perhaps you could develop some balls and try posting a deal yourself. I mean. Over 1 year a HUKD user and all you can do in that time is criticise other folks threads/deals etc; but you have never posted a single deal yourself. Pathetic.

Brilliant thankyou - i paid near double this for a flat 25mm drill piece when I needed one, so a whole set like this is great value

I work in a model making studio, and there is a range of quality of drill bits used - i have cheap and ££ ones, and to be honest I have only had 1 problem with a cheap bit (that was my fault for putting my weight onto it while spinning into 30mm mdf) - so I wouldnt be put off by these at all, especially as tesco have them at £28!

Going to try to get to the local focus to get a set or 2

I find JCB stuff quality, have a tap and die set they made which cost me a tenner years ago, and its fantastic.

Great find!
#18
The case alone is worth that. I've bought these in the past and replaced the 'bits' after a couple of uses and replaced them with quality ones.
#19
Nothing in my store
#20
Dam that is hot. Would cost more for three drill bits than entire case.
#21
according to the news jcb have problems and the workforce have decided to take a pay cut. production now at 40%. maybe their refocusing and concentrating on the core business and getting rid of the surplus stock items.

I visited the Rogerstone (Newport) Focus earlier, looking to pick a pressure washer - they were at £78.99 as per thier website -http://www.focusdiy.co.uk/Pressure-Washers/JCB-1600w-Upright-Pressure-Washer/invt/188375

Has anybody managed to find one of these instore for £20?
#23
Just called up the Bishops Stortford Branch, and they've just told me that the 1600W pressure washer is discontinued, so I'd be very fortunate to find a store with one :(

The only JCB pressure washer they have is the one mrn1c3 has just mentioned.
#24
Yes

This is the case with most of the products which are reduced, all lines which are discontinued

Anything still branded focus basics instead of payless will likely be reduced, even if its not been marked down yet.

JCB screwdriver and drill sets were selling well when they went out so will probably struggle to find these too

Plenty of bush cutters though :P

bean to 2 stores today, no stock of these in either, and the staff new nothing of it, smells like a BS line to get people instore to me.
#26
If i was a professional tradesman i would think this was sxxt.
But at this price if it breaks....it breaks!!
Voted hot hot hot!
#27
Great post. Out of stock when I got there unfortunately but I still got a bag anyway.
#28
Price makes it throw away - nice

nice find. I bought one of these sets at full price which was £14.99. I have snapped one of the quick change bits and burnt out two masonry bits whilst drilling concrete lol

But it was good for £14.99 and absolutely fantastic for £4.

I am going to check tomorrow and if they have one locally i will get another!

I saw them in store yesterday, loads of JCB stuff but you have to draw the line somewhere with all these cheap sets...... my shed is full of them....curse Aldi & Co lol
#31
Good deal! Will check the store tomorrow.
#32
Well worth having for £4 hope they still have some in store when i get a chance to get there.

Well worth the money! JCB stuff is not the best for quality compard to Black and Decker and Bosch (which cost many, many times more) but for normal DIY this is well worth having.
#34
got last one in Rushden, hot
#35
I hate DIY but its handy to have a set like this.. esp if you need to put a hole in the wall :)
