Jelly Belly Bean Large Machine @ Yankee Doodle £27.95

This same machine sells at around £40 at most other retailers. The reason Yankee Doodle are selling it so cheaply is because the small bag of beans included in box are out of date. Still a fantastic deal even with out of date beans!

Here's a wonderful gift for gadget lovers - the Jelly Belly Bean Machine. Pop in a coin, turn the crank, and out comes Jelly Belly jelly beans!

Put one in your study or office. The Jelly Belly Bean Machine stands 11 inches tall and includes a complementary pack of 200 grams of Jelly Belly Beans.

They also have a few other Jelly Belly items in stock that are slightly less than if you buy from other retailers - by buying a few extra items (over £50) I managed to get a wick cutter for free - woooo hooooo :)

The bean machine is £25.00 and delivery just £2.95.

How do you know they are out of date?

If you go to their menu at the top and choose "Other Ranges" > "Jelly Belly Beans" on the results page it lists:

"Jelly Belly Large Bean Machine
Jelly Belly Large Bean Machine - small bag of bean included in box are out of date."

It doesn't say this in the item description on the product page though - not sure why!

Thanks!

Love to know why it's being voted so cold when it's a huge saving.

I know the sweets are out of date but it's only a small bag - and definitely not £15 odd worth!

Not really a must have item is it ? also the huge saving you say is not that huge this seems a lot of money for what it is.

It is a huge saving on the price it sells at everywhere else - which surely makes it a hot deal - whether somebody wants it or not is a different matter?

2010 annuals are hardly a must have item either but they are top of the deals list for the day.

It is essentially a container to keep sweets in. As such, it is expensive.

Well that argument could probably be made abour 95% of the "deals" on here then. There's cheaper alternatives to many items listed. I just assumed hotukdeals was for finding savings on items that sell higher elsewhere.

Complete rip off, these dispensers are exactly the same as the unbranded one at argos which are now only £7.99 (reduced from £14.99), I know this as I have seen both.
The only difference is that the argos one doesn't say 'Jelly belly' on the front and doesn't come with out of date sweets, it comes with in date ones!! ,
Save yourself almost £20 for dropping the logo and spend it on the jelly beans (yes they are a rip off too, but they are superior to other beans by some way imho)
The only advantage of having one at all is so the kids can use it as a money box, and they get a random bean selection rather than all the best ones!
My little girl ALWAYS eats my favourites lol.

Well I thought it was a good deal and I'm gonna enjoy my out of date beans :p
#11
That was my exact same thinking stefor! At least I'm not the only one on Jelly Belly Planet.

The only thing is - the official £67 price tag is with 1kg of beans - hence me quoting £40 from the likes of House Of Fraser where it comes with a small bag of beans.

So all the deals that are posted on here must be voted hot because they are cheaper than elsewhere ? total rubbish just like this overpriced kids sweet machine.

If you think that one is overpriced......
Then again a Gold plated one for £69.99 from Harrods seems good value against the original price the OP post of £40!

I think that might have been the smaller machine - the "petite machine" that was £10 but I may be wrong.

And hey it's okay I'm not offended and happy to have a laugh too :w00t:

It just confused me why people thought it was cold when the saving was about 33% - but I know now.

Nevertheless, still gonna love my machine when it arrives

LOL funnily enough I bought my gran one of those candy grabber machines for Christmas last year :-D:-D:-D

I have to say - it rocks  but obviously a complete waste of money when you can buy a pair of tweezers for 99p and get a free cardboard box from your local supermarket to make your own *ducks*
