Stick to the wooden original: this plastic gold version is rubbish in comparison.
ByAndrew C.on 15 November 2016
This gold version is rubbish compared to the original. The blocks are hollow and so incredibly light. This causes the tower to not settle under its own weightand makes it incredibly hard to remove a block without pulling apart the structure of the tower. The moulded features on the blocks also tend to catch as blocks are part-way out, which is very frustrating.

Stick to the original: it is much, much better.

We thought the same at first last night, but actually after a few games we didn't really notice the difference (or adapted) and my daughter, who has played the original a lot, didn't complain once < and that is rare!
For a cheaper alternative to the original wooden one then this is fine.
Just ordered ourselves when we saw the price.

Reviews :- (also for the same version)
Fun new version of the classic Jenga game and love that the blocks look like mock gold bars. Played a couple of times with the family and am sure we'll be playing a lot more at Christmas. The 'fools' vs. 'real' gold element gives a exciting random element and the scamble for the gold when the blocks collapse is usually eventful. The set comes in nice packaging; although my only dissapointment was I never read the smallprint on the box which states that the 'actual product does not contain real gold.' Luckily I've managed to sell the vault I bought to store this game in, as a standard cupboard will suffice.

Should be expired since it's a third more expensive now.
