Voted hot.

Voted cold. Can get a 200-in-1 Media Card Reader on eBay for a bit more... (ok not 200 but you get my drift)

These are much slower than USB 2 transfer.

Yes, but is it PCMCIA? Not really comparable if it isn't. These are very useful if you want something which doesn't protrude from your laptop when in use and remains a permanent fixture.

Does every listing have to be compatabile with every computer and perform multiple functions? I'm tired of the negativity on this site.

i know if you post , then negativity is at times off putting...
HOWEVER, for guys like me it is educational and can save a purchase which was never going to suit... eg like an argos shed that took ages to erect..
I wish i had read the comments more and thought more etc

No, but it's useful to have as much input as possible to make an informed choice. For example, nowhere on Jessop's blurb does it state that this in incompatible with PC Express. MumboJumbo's post alerts potential buyers to that.

You shouldn't take negative posts about a product personally.

Unsupported cold voting is another matter though....

Got one of these and it's actually quite slow. Still useful if you want to use your slot though. Might be better with a fast card such as Lexar.
