Even known brands use components from other suppliers & Probably all built in China lol

IPhone camera is made by sony.
#4
Not running 64bit android doubt the build takes advantage of any enhancements likely bog standard build.

Can't go wrong for the price.

I'd also be grateful for feedback from anyone who's got this or any other similar phone with an MTK chipset about GPS performance/reliability/accuracy which seems a perennial problem on MTK-powered phones.

Thanks :)

That 3100mAh battery helps power 1080p screen & still weighs less than iPhone 6+

Really tempted... And then sell my Nexus 5, sick of the battery life.

I had the G3S which was fantastic!!!! highly recommend Jiayu. There was a GPS issue but there was an update which resolved that.

would defo buy Jiayu again. Far more bang for your buck.

Hear your pain! Tried posting other deals before this one. Mods removed as they haven't heard of sellers even though they're no worst than buying off EBay or Amazon marketplace!

I know it's an oldish post. I bought my s3 advance with the 3gb and NFC from Amazon (amazon fulfilled) came with Google services pre installed inc play. Was £50 more than this deal but IMO worth it for the amazon warranty and higher spec. Voted hot though, its a stunning phone for the price.

I only have a few phones to compare it to. Is it better than the nokia 1020? No, but with decent light it doesn't embarrass itself either. Its a million miles better than the moto G 1st gen, nokia 520 and that HTC M8. In low light it isn't as good as my friend iphone 6, but its about 1/5 the price, but its as good as the top model phones from 2014 imo (same Sonly IMX214 chip as the one plus and other top phones). Video quality isn't anywhere near as bad as the reviews made out once you turn off sharpening

I have the advanced model and the it is great apart from the video camera, the problem is that in bright light the camera has an almost cartoon like effect when recording video. It is a software/driver problem which hopefully will be fixed when lollipop update is released, which is currently in beta phase.

Just about to leave a post here for you....thank you for responding :)

I had been putting in the settings just slightly wrong....I had to input mine manually.

No I bought mine from the JiaYu store...so no chance of me sending it back.. Lose 30% restock fee and the p&p...from £120 probably wouldn't leave a lot.

I am going to start the hunt now to see if there is spyware on this one...I hope not as I really like the phone so far!

Look for Telephony - Network Selecting sub menu. Try selecting 3G manually see if that works.

Thanks but it is all sorted :)

I had to change a setting in APN section.

Flashed a new ROM onto it and it is flying....sticking with KK at present.

Camera isn't great in poor light but otherwise I am very impressed.
