The Silver 128gb has gone up in price now, the Gold 128 gb is still available at £358.80. I ordered the Silver and it was delivered the next day, brand new and sealed, not a refurb, for £358.80 including VAT and delivery. Apple are selling refurbs for £409.00. I would really recommend this company!
Apple refurb still appears to be cheaper, Jigsaw24 have a massive font for price excluding VAT. Inc. VAT price below in tiny grey!
I too think this deal should be hotter. I have been looking for an iPad Mini 128Gb and have gone for this deal. Its about £70.00 pounds cheaper than the next best price I can find. I am sure there is probably an iPad Mini 4 coming soon but this deal is still about the cheapest new iPad Mini 3 128Gb available in the UK so surely it is hot?

Really not sure why this is being voted cold when it's more than £100 cheaper than Apple?

Unknown seller pretty much, only a few reviews online from 2010~ and making returns at Jigsaw24 requires you to pay restocking fees of at least 10-50% depending on what item it is, plus you have to pay for tracked/signed for delivery back to them.

"The item(s) returned must be as new and in the original packaging, and a re-stocking fee of 10-50%, depending on the condition of the returned items, is applicable."
Anyone else ordered and received this?

I have never dealt with this retailer before...can anyone inform me if they're trustworthy please?
As hrsh26 said, they're on the business side of things for certain high end IT and media production kit. I've bought a couple of things off them in the past and they are on Apple's lists for authorised service and repair and sales, if you search for their locations.
So yeah, they're trustworthy.
Thanks a lot for the info

Nice
Heat for the price. I got one from John Lewis a couple of weeks ago for 379.00.

However I think it's going to have to go back - the hard drive was very slow so I added an SSD via USB 3 and installed the OS there. Now it's far better BUT my bluetooth keyboard and mouse keep disconnecting and stuttering. I've had a look online and it seems to be a known issue for which there is no real fix. I'm amazed. The 2014 version may have better shielding but no memory expansion so it looks like I'm out of the Mac Mini game.

Wishful thinking :(
Ordered this and it arrived today. Getting it to replace my 2012 i5 mini as I do a lot of video conversion and run it as a plex server.

I didn't 'really' need to upgrade to an i7 mini, but with Apple gimping the 2014 model I think these are going to be well sort after.

To the OP, I think the way you worded your comment in the DABS deal is the reason for some of the cold votes. Nevertheless I've voted hot as it is the cheapest available deal for an instock 2012 i7 Mac mini.

Does anyone know if there is much difference between the i5 & i7 2012 models?

depends on what your using it for! I had a 2012 i5 mac mini and have a 2012 imac i7...converting video was about half the time on the i7 but in general day to day usage (including basic games like football manager) I noticed no difference...mainly as both (mac minis) have HD4000 and Mac OS works fine on 4GB...had 8GB in both and again no noticeable difference....if your a power user you will defo notice the i7 increase for video editing etc though.

Thank you for taking the time to reply and sorry for my vague question! I meant to say that the main thing it will be doing is running Plex Media Server. It will only ever be encoding for 1 client. That said, your mentioning video editing makes me think that this is something I may want to do in the future. Thanks for the great comparison, much appreciated.

bargain if you like crapple products, otherwise its not a deal.

Stupid thing to say, really. You could say that about any product on this site. But then you've damned yourself to immaturity by using 'crapple' so I guess there's no point using logic.

The only people who tend to make fun of technology they don't own is those who don't feel secure in the purchases they've made themselves. There is no right and wrong choice, merely a personal preference to an OS and ecostructure that Apple, Google and Microsoft all push.

@androoski - yes it does! I bought one a couple of months ago to use with Cubase. You'll need to download the Asio drivers from Avid's site as they don't come on the disk but its pretty straightforward after that!
Wish I'd seen this price when I bought mine as I paid nearly 400 quid :(
Still prob the best sounding interface I've used though ...
Yeah it should work I believe.

Double check on the Reaper forums but as far as I'm aware as long as it an ASIO driver it'll be fine.
I looked at this deal because I didn't know what it is, and now I think I'm going to order one.

Does anyone know if it works with Reaper?

Why cold ?

Next cheapest was £56 ??
Because its Apple. Heat from me though.
Slim Hamster
Be aware.... If you leave the batteries in these things for a while, they can corrode and burst. The acid fuses the battery to the aluminium casing and is a right b'stard to try and repair, if at all. The battery cap cannot be undone (I've twisted a coin trying). It can sometimes be solved by removing the bluetooth module and pouring baking soda solution into the batt compartment, but a lot of folks have had the keyboard ruined by this.
Two questions....

1) Isn't that the case for all battery devices?

2) Have you had this happen? If so, how did you fix it? (I kinda NEED to know! haha)
I've used Jigsaw since the middle '90s with no issues whatsoever.

I've just bought one of these keyboards via this heads up - it arrived quickly and safely, but not in a retail box, if that matters to you - it doesn't to me.

Heat added.
RookieSludizzle
Hot for an official product, but Logitech k760 is much more practical. (Solar powered/ lighter) and recently on offer for a similar price to this, reduced from 70-80 pound
I've had both. The Apple is much better for typing on, and (on the Mac) the Logitech software is awful.
Why cold? I think it is a good deal.

Can get these 2 quid on ebay

the audio output from the lightning connector on the iphone is digital only
the official apple cable and adapter have a built in DAC to convert the audio, hence why they cost so much

the ebay and similar cables and adapters dont have the DAC and so will only support charging and sync and NOT audio

fair point. Graphs like that have helped me fall on one side of the fence so thought it might help others too. the number of windows machines that can compete with apple build quality has grown quite a bit lately. Apple seem to be stagnating lately though. Sony has always been great at doing thin and light machines, so I will be curious to see what this one is like...
quadpatch
This is what won me over on the Sony machine over the Apple:
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-p7x4MMxKtzw/Ulw51miCm6I/AAAAAAAADC4/K8s95x5uDdQ/w555-h423-no/Sony_vs_Apple.jpg
The main thing for me was the touch screen being able to be used as a tablet and the addition of the active digitizer. The resolution doesn't bother me too much, actually I would have preferred 1600x900 on the Sony (similar to the Air). The battery life and CPU isn't quite as nice on the Sony, compared to the Air, but I live with the trade off. Another nice aspect of the Sony is that it has a 4 year warranty, but I think that expires today.

Seems to me that neither is better, just different and depends on your needs.

Apple has better battery life, graphics and processor. They can be massive plus points for some people.
Personally I don't want touch screen and tablet features on a laptop as I have an ipad and like them separate (but others would disagree).

I guess my point is buy what suits your needs/wants, the price between similar spec systems on apple or windows is negligible and ultimately the buyer will prefer one over the other, neither is a bad choice. Although I think if you need the power of a maxed out air then you prob need a 13" Retina Macbook instead

I love the idea of Apple stuff, especially the macbook air, but I think they need to be a bit cheaper to justify themselves now. I just bought a 13" Sony laptop that's about the same spec as this accept it converts into a tablet, has touch screen and an active digitizer. plus the sony is lighter and thinner despite the conversion mechanism and its also aluminium.
really not trying to bring up the apple vs pc debate, but why would you buy this over a laptop at a similar spec? does it essentially boil down to a nice gui over bsd?. I'm really struggling to justify my friends daughter buying one, as I've been a pc user all my life and her argument is, it looks pretty and everyone wants one :s

has anyone tried one of these with sketchup ?
It's certainly good enough, just depends on your drawing style - the small area could either be enough or not. You could cut some paper to the size of the tablet area and see how it feels?
Super tempted! How much better than the small Bamboo ones are these? And are they genuinely big enough to sketch with and do good digital art?
I have bought this for a LOT more than this price (one third more). The device itself is absolutely exquisite. Far better than the 3. As for size, some people draw from the wrist some from the elbow. If you draw from the elbow than your arc's will be far too big for this pad. If you draw from the wrist you will be OK.

I cannot utilize the full size of this. I tend to use a re-sized area 1.5 inch by 2 inch. That way my wrist stays put and my fingers push the pen around the new size: the same as most people push a mouse around.

I've got an iPhone already so most of my stuff is already in iTunes but I can't say I'm looking forward to synching it for the first time. I'm hoping that I can transfer the VLC app that I got from the App Store when it was briefly on there onto the iPad which would prevent a lot of headaches.
