Sounds great, then you look at the deals and realise it's absolute ********!

None of the goods listed are 90% off, I can almost guarantee that.

Ofcom is looking into ISPs misleading consumers with 'up to' when talking about broadband speeds. Maybe OFT should do the same with retailers and sales?

Often, to make the saving seem even bigger they base the percentage on the RRP, which is rarely the normal selling price before the sale. Direct-Golf are really bad for that, they'll send a 'sales' catalogue out and some items will be just their normal every-day price, with the supposed 'saving' coming from the RRP. Very misleading.

been to my local store yesterday and as usuual its a load of BS from jjb as normal - they r so overpriced its scandalous

Got 3 nice collared t-shirts and a fleece - all for £12. Can't be too bad!!

Would of paid around £20 for the fleece normally (RRP was £49.99) but got it for a fiver!

I work in JJB in Glenrothes, some pretty good deals like t-shirts for a quid, if you are not bothered about brand names! Trainers for £2.99 again just as long as you dont mind wearing patrick or le coq sportif! Some good bargains and more things are being reduced every week! Worth a check every so often for new added lines! :-)

I too was sceptical when I went into the store in Kendal just before Christmas but I found a lined hi-vis jacket for a tenner that I am very pleased with.

when you buy a t shirt for a quid though you either wear it once and throw it away or wash it and spend 4 times as long ironing the sh*te stitching/cut till it looks half decent. And if you don't mind the collar/neck line warping then they should be ok!
