Is there much risk of this damaging/marking the door frame at all?

Im in a rented property - wouldnt want to try it if it could cause damage.

ive had mine for about 2 or 3 months and there is a small mark where the side handle bars rest. mine isnt too badly damaged but it could depend on many things like your weight, strength of door frame etc.
#16
your door frame will crack check ytube

should be fine. is the door frame flat around the edge? coz mine has a curved design which is why i think mine has left a small mark.
its only noticable because you know where the mark is otherwise i wouldnt notice it.

I might give it a punt then!

If it starts to mark it will have to keep the "ab roller" company, in the loft

Yeah a hot deal I got one when it was down to £9.99, works great on my door frame.

Thanks for this - hope I use it and it doesn't sit lonely like that Bullworker I had back in the 80's!

I have back pains at times - any ideas if this would help or hinder?

seek medical attention before trying this. could cause more problems if your back pain is muscle related.

Good point. I bought one and my frames started to creak before I had even got my feet off the ground....

I either need a better chippie or lose some weight (the latter methinks.... :( )

Heat for the price....

Nice spot. Glad I have a couple of proper doors downstairs I can hook this on that are brick built rather than what passes for building in new houses :D

This sounds great but I'm in a rented property. Are these "marks" visible enough for the agency to find a reason to withhold my deposit? I'm 15.5 stone..

Ive never seen a single mark and everybody who is in my flat always has a blast on it and fail miserably before i do 15 chinups with arms fully hanging . ROOOAAARRRGGHH .

I'm confused about any marks left, as the only places it touches anything are the top of the door frame (the bit you can't see but might run a duster over occasionally) and thickly padded foam on the upper frame as you face it, which certainly can't leave marks.

These are are seriously good as removable chin-up solutions - previously I used an inferior metal argos bar that mounts into a screwed in cup on each side of the frame.
I can't imagine you'd lose your deposit for 'marks on a doorframe' anyway?

The only thing is I can only fit this on one door in my flat due to the space needed on each side of the frame (on the side the door opens away from!). Not a problem though.

A great price!

I've been using one for a few months now, mainly for pull-ups. So far I can't see any marks on the door frame or wall. :)

I have been practising this for a week and I still cant nail it.
#36
Had one a while, effective and good price for what it is.
#37
I bought this for £8 from walsall sunday maret.
#38
hold on, what do normally pay for a few bits of tubing?
#39
HOT! Just ordered mine :)

You can find much better bars on the auction site that have a wider grip and many more positions. Some of the also come with abb straps. They fit on a door frame in the same manner and only cost 4 quid more. Better for latts and loads of other muscles.
